About This Competition

Welcome to Monterey's Fittest!

Join us for our 3rd year of this competition! Everyone is welcome!

Teams of 2 (same sex pairs; MM or FF)

RX & Scaled divisions (capping each division at 12 teams)

4 workouts

Monterey's Fittest will run rain or shine. There will be no refunds for this event. Substitutions can be made for team members until the start of the event.

300 Double Unders each

Max Bar Muscle Ups

Tie Break: Time to complete the Double Unders and calories on the machines

 

Both partners work through 300 Double Unders each. When a partner finishes their individual Double Unders they start working on the machine calories. Partners may switch on the machines however they see fit. Once all calories are completed on both machines the team moves on to max Bar Muscle Ups in time remaining.

450 Single Unders each

Max Burpee Pullups

Tie Break: Time to complete the Double Unders and calories on the machines

 

Both partners work through 450 Single Unders each. When a partner finishes their individual Single Unders they may immediately start working on the machine calories. Partners may switch on the machines however they see fit. Once all calories are completed on both machines the team moves on to max Burpee Pullups in time remaining.

For Time:

8 rounds:

Partner 1: 8 Chest to Bar

Partner 2: 6 GHD's

50 Deadlifts (315/225)

Time Cap: 12 mins

 

Partners must complete movement (Chest to Bar and GHDs) before they can switch with partner.

Deadlifts may be broken up as desired

For Time:

8 rounds:

Partner 1: 8 Jumping Chest to Bar Pullups

Partner 2: 8 AbMat Sit-ups

-Into-

50 Deadlifts (225/155)

Time Cap: 12 mins

 

Partners must complete movement (Jumping C2B or AbMat Sit-ups) before they can switch with partner.

Deadlifts may be broken up as desired

3 Rounds:

10 Synchro Lateral Burpee Over Bar

20 Wallball Lunge Passes Over Rig (30/20)

10 Synchro Ground to Overhead (95/65)

 

Time Cap: 5 mins

 

Synchro for the Burpees occurs on the ground. Wallball will be passed over the rig. Reps for wallball count as soon as it clears the bar. Synchro for the Ground to Overhead happens at the top in the locked out overhead position.

3 Rounds:

10 Synchro Lateral Burpee Over Bar (may step over bar)

20 Wallball Lunge Passes Over Rig (20/14)

10 Synchro Ground to Overhead (75/55)

 

Time Cap: 5 mins

 

Synchro for the Burpees occurs on the ground. Wallball will be passed over the rig. Reps for wallball count as soon as it clears the bar. Synchro for the Ground to Overhead happens at the top in the locked out overhead position.

Barbell starts on the ground. One partner is working at a time. If switching partners during the squats barbell must be on floor. Handstand pushups and wall walks are the open standard. Reps may be split however teams desire.

Barbell starts on the ground. One partner is working at a time. If switching partners during the squats barbell must be on floor. Scaled wall walks are the open standard. Reps may be split however teams desire.
