About This Competition

Divergent CrossFit is proud to host its "fundraising" competition that will challenge athletes to not only test their skills and strength on the competition floor but also in fundraising efforts.

This is for all members of all skills and strength. If you've never competed before, this is your chance to see how competition feels like and there are 2 divisions for each gender that will allow for everyone to join in on the fun! Format will be 2-person | same gender MM or FF team and CO-ED. Grab your bestest gym buddy and get ready to hit the competition floor to "Fight" alongside your bestie in this throw down because "No One Fights Alone." 


Registration:
Different than most competitions, the registration fee for each team is to collectively FUNDRAISE or DONATE $150 (or YOU CAN RAISE MORE!). As a cool added bonus, you can earn rewards on the BBFB platform for your fundraising efforts.

ENTRY FEE FOR THE COMPETITION IS DONE THROUGH THE DIVERGENT BARBELLS FOR BOOBS FUNDRAISER LINK ATTACHED TO THIS REGISTRATION.  

THERE WILL BE NO CHARGE UPFRONT.  

YOU WILL HAVE UNTIL 11:59PM 09/24/2021 TO FUNDRAISE AT LEAST THE $150.  IF YOU DO NOT RAISE THE $150 YOU WILL BE CHARGED THE DAY OF THE EVENT ON LOCATION THE $150 REGISTRATION.

 

How to complete your Donation or Fundraising on Barbells for Boobs

You and your teammate will need to collectively fundraise a minimum of $150 to your fundraising page.

·         Click on “Join Team”- and make sure you are part of the Divergent Team Page.

·         Enter your Information. Remember that by Fundraising, you also have the opportunity to earn some BBFB swag and rewards.

·         Once you’re part of the Divergent Team Page- start posting and get some donations from friends and family.

·         Your team needs to collectively raise a minimum of $150. (not individually)

Fitness: For Intermediate/Scaled athletes who are new to competing, share a common goal of functional fitness, are working toward mastering their skills, and/or looking to just have fun.

Rx: For those athletes who love the thrill of competition and generally complete their WODs Rx and/or athletes looking for a challenge.

What is Barbells For Boobs and What do they do?
Barbell For Boobs is a nonprofit organization that wants to redefine the standard of care in breast health and improve quality of life post-diagnosis. They provide education on the significant benefits of fitness and support to access responsible and safe fitness instruction for those directly impacted by breast cancer.

Engaging in consistent physical activity has been proven an effective intervention to:

  • Reduce breast cancer risk.
  • Reduce the prevalence and severity of adverse effects during breast cancer treatment.
  • Reduce post-treatment relative risks of recurrence, breast cancer mortality, and all-cause mortality.

  • Then REGISTER your team for the throwdown in two easy steps:

    • Complete your donation or Fundraising on the Barbells for Boobs website Barbell for Boobs website

How to complete your Donation or Fundraising on Barbells for Boobs:

You and your teammate will need to collectively either fundraise or donate $150 to your own fundraiser page or to another Divergent Member's Barbell for Boobs Fundraiser page. There are several options for how to do this. Here are some examples of how this might work:

  • Teammate A fundraises $150+, Teammate B does not have to fundraise
  • Teammate A fundraises $75, Teammate B fundraises $75 (any configuration that adds up to $150 works)
  • Teammate A and B collectively donate $150 to any person fundraising under Divergent’s Team Page

  • If your team chooses to donate, scroll down and find a team member- collectively, donate $150.
  • If your team chooses to fundraise, click on “Start Fundraising” to create your fundraising page.
