About This Competition

Welcome to the Road to the Games! This is a pairs competition designed specifically for inclusion with a goal of raising money for our local CQ heroes to travel to Las Vegas in September to compete in the 2025 Adaptive CrossFit Games presented by WheelWod!

What can you expect? Cliffy and Noah have decided upon a three workout format with mixed movements aimed at testing our strength, endurance, and gymnasitcs. While there will be inclusion of high level gymnastics, the beauty in this competition is... LITERALLY anyone can compete with anyone! There are no specific divisions, although, prizes will be given out in a variety of different ways.

Partnerships, what do they look like? Traditionally, competitions are opposite sex or same sex with multiple divisions. This competition is going to feel like the biggest community class we can possibly put together! So you can bring any sex and any ability! RX athletes can pair with Beginner athletes. Males can pair with females or males or even dogs if they know how to do fitness. So you aren't stuck for options here.

Movement standards will be the following:

RX should be able to do Bar Muscle Ups.. thats it.. thats the most complicated movement and it's only done once. 100/65kg Deadlift, 60/45kg Clean and Front Squat, 22.5/15kg Dumbbell, Toes to Bar, Chest to Bar, and Bar Muscle Ups. There are a total of 12 movements on the day in this division, unlike the others. The finale is progressive.

Intermediate should be able to do Pullups... thats it.. thats the most complicated movement and its only done once. 90/55kg Deadlift, 50/35KG Clean and Front Squat, 15/10kg Dumbbell, Straight Leg Raise, Pullups, and Chest to Bars. There are a total of 11 movements on the day in this division. The finale will feature pullups and then chest to bars.

Beginner should be able to do Jumping Pullups... There is no expectation. Any further scaling can be approved on the day.. THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE FUN! Expectations will be 80/45kg Deadlift, 50/35kg Power Clean, 10/6kg Dumbbell, Knee Raise, Air Squat, Pushups to an object and no expectations of Pullups but if someone has them, we will let them express that form!

This description actually pretty well tells you all the movements in the competition. Theres a Rower and an Echo Bike. Noah was going to make you run... but we didn't.  There are no super complicated movements, its meant to be, and I know this is a wild concept...FUN and CHALLENGING! Look at this through the lens of hard work and low expectation.

Pictures on the day will be taken by Stephanie Deaves Photography and proceeds from the sales will go towards Cliff and Noahs trip! You can find her Instagram HERE!

So gather up your partner and settle in! Workouts to be released WELL ahead of time and are very inclusive in ALL divisions.
