About This Competition

The Future Fittest Online Championships are back.  Here is the key info you need to know.

FAQ

What is it?  

- Future Fittest is an online fitness competition that follows the programming done each year through the CrossFit Open. Future Fittest is in NO way affiliated with CrossFit HQ or Crossfit Inc.

What are the workouts like?  

 - Scroll through our instagram (futurefittest) and look at workotus done in March of 2019 for a regerence point.  

Who can participate?

 - Everyone age 14 or under on Oct 11.  

What are your age categories ?

 - 8 and under
 - 9 and 10
 - 11 and 12
 - 13 and 14

Is there a certain ability level required?

 - No. We have 2 levels for every age group.  One level is RX, and the other level is scaled.  The RX category allows the experienced athletes to showcase their skills while the scaled category is friendly enough to allow nearly every athlete to participate. 

How does it work?

Each week a workout will be released.  The athlete will have until the submission deadline to complete the workout and submit their score on compettion corner.

Do I need a judge?  

 - Yes, you need a judge to ensure you are meeting the proper standards of the workout.

Do I need a video?  

- Maybe.  For those who want to remain at the top of the leaderboard, remain eligible for prizes, and/or are in the top 3 of their category,  a video will need to be submitted each week along with the workout score.  We understand this is tedious and time consuming.  We believe video submission is a crucial part of the sport of competitive fitness and allows Future Fittest to uphold its strong value of running a fair compeititon.

How do I upload a video?  

- 1. Use your phone and a timing app  We suggest using WeTime or a similar timing app so your clock is on the screen and its one less thing to worry about.  

- 2. Set up a tripod, turn phone to do not disturb, press play.    

- 3. Make sure athlete and judge are in the frame.  Introduce yourself and weights/standards you will be using.  

- 4. Video the entire workout and complete it according to standards.  

- 5. upload the video to youtube

You are going to make me video my 7 year olds workouts?  Are you kidding me?  

- Yes we are.  No, not kidding.  11 years down the road at your childs high school graduation celebration, you will be glad you have them.  

What is the workout schedule?  

 - Oct 11 - 5pm pst (score submission due Oct 17th 5pm)

 - Oct 18 - 5pm pst (score submission due Oct 24th 5pm)

 - Oct 25 - 5 pm pst (score submission due Oct 31st at 5pm)

 - Nov 01 - 5 pm pst (score submission due Nov 7th at  5pm)

 - Nov 08 - 5 pm pst (score submission due Nov 14th at 5pm)

How much does it cost?

 - $20 if signed up on or before October 1st.  $30 if signed up between October 2nd and October 17th.  

When does registration end?

 - October 17th at 5 pm pst.  

Do you offer refunds?  My child can't compete because...

- Sorry, we do not offer refunds.
