About This Competition

Your Fitness, 39 Grafton Street, Cairns City.

Saturday 25th November, 2023

This competition is open to Your Fitness and Concise X Training members only.

This is a novice to intermediate competition, so RX athletes will not be able to compete.

We have two divisions, male and female. It's also in pairs with two males or two females.

Each team must pay $80 to compete ($40 per person). This will also go towards your Xmas party entry as well.

Athletes should have full range of motion with the majority of the movements, and some of the exercises will have scaled options.

Spectators are welcome, so bring your family and friends and we look forward to having everyone there to cheer on our athletes:)

Workouts

For Time: (12 min Cap)

Echo Bike x 70/50 Calories

Single Unders x 300 Reps

Run x 300m/200m

Crossovers x 100 Reps

Alt Burpees x 30 Reps (one for one)

 

Echo Bike:

- M/70 cals & F/50 cals

- Complete calories as a team.

Single Unders:

- Complete 300 reps as a team.

Run:

- M/300m & F/200m

- Both members of the team must run.

- Teams cannot start the next exercise until both runners are back.

Crossovers:

- Complete 100 reps as a team.

Alt Burpees:

- Teams must complete 30 burpees by alternating reps.

- Chest must touch the floor, and members must jump and clap behind the head at the top.

 

- Exercises must be completed in order.

- The team with the fastest time will win this event.

- Judges will time this event and keep count of each calorie/rep.

- CrossFit standards will apply to this workout.

 

(Part TWO)

3 Minutes:

Plate Push Relay x Max Metres

Males=60kg

Females=40kg

 

- Teams will push plates back and forth 10 metres.

- Athletes can change pushers at any time.

- Every 2 metres will be marked out. You must pass each two-metre marker to gain those metres to your score.

- The team with the most metres in three minutes will win Part Two of this event.

(Part 1)

For Time: (12 min Cap)

Dbl DB Devil Press x 7| 6| 5| 4| 3

Knee/Leg Raises x 14| 12| 10| 8| 6

Wall Balls (G/B) x 21| 18| 15| 12| 9

 

Males - DB=2x15kg | Leg Raises | WB=9kg (Green Target)

Females - DB=2x8kg | Knee Raises | WB=6kg (Black Target)

 

Dbl DB Devil Press:

- Chest must touch the floor and dumbbells must be snatched in a lock-out position at the top.

Knee/Leg Raises:

- Knees/Toes must go above the waist at the top.

- Feet must go behind the rack at the bottom.

Wall Balls:

- The squat must go below parallel at the bottom.

- The Ball must touch the target at the top.

 

- Teams will have a 12-minute cap for this event.

- Teams will alternate exercises until the workout is completed. 

- One partner cannot help the other with their reps. Each member must complete their own reps.

- The team with the fastest time will win part one of this event.

- CrossFit standards will apply to this workout.

ONE REP MAX LIFTS:

 

1RM DEADLIFT (P1)

1RM FRONT SQUAT (P2)

1RM PUSH PRESS OR PUSH JERK (1or2)

 

- Each exercise must be performed separately.

- Partner 1 has four minutes to get a 1RM Deadlift.

- Partner 2 will have four minutes to get a 1RM Front Squat.

- Partner 1 or 2 can do the 1RM Push Press/Jerk and you will only have 2 minutes.

- No break time in between lifts. When the four minutes finish the next will start.

- Judges will look for quality reps with bodies in good position for each movement.

- CrossFit standards will apply to this workout.

- Judges will accept the heaviest lift from each movement and calculate them together.
