2022 CrossFit Fort Vancouver Championship

COMPETITION DATES

Online Qualifier: November 10-14, 2022*

LIVE In-Person Competition: December 9-11 at CrossFit Fort Vancouver

*Athletes must participate in the online qualifier to earn a spot in the live event.


FORMAT

The 2022 CrossFit Fort Vancouver Championship is a same-gender pairs competition. All divisions will compete as male-male or female-female pairs.


ONLINE QUALIFIER

The online qualifier can be completed anywhere. Both teammates must be in the same location to complete the qualifier workouts together. All online qualifier events will be announced on Thursday, November 10th at  12:00 PM PST. All score submissions are due on Monday, November 14th at 8:00 PM. All qualifying teams will be asked to provide video validation of requested workouts. Teams will have until Tuesday, November 15th at 8:00 PM to submit requested videos. Failure to submit a requested video will result in an invalid score.

For the RX and Scaled divisions, you can expect similar movement variations and loading as the CrossFit Open. Please register for the division that you feel is most representative of you and your teammate’s current fitness level. If, after the Online Qualifier events are announced, you feel that you have registered for the wrong division, please contact us to change divisions.


All athletes in the masters division must be age 40 or more on December 9, 2022. 

All Masters athletes will compete in the same division.

The Masters Division will have 3 subgroups based on combined age of the two athletes:

80-99

100-114

115+


Masters Teams with a combined age of 100-114 and 115+ will use different loading and movement variations than the 80-99 subgroup, however all masters pairs will be ranked on the same leaderboard, regardless of age/subgroup.


REGISTRATION

Athlete Registration for the 2022 CrossFit Fort Vancouver Championship Online Qualifier is open from November 1st, 2022 to November 14, 2022. Registration for the Online Qualifier is $40 per team.


Invites for the 2022 CrossFit Fort Vancouver Championship Live Event will be sent out to all qualifying teams on November 18, 2022. Qualifying teams have until November 28, 2022 to register for the live event. At that time, any unfilled spots will be offered to the next team(s) on the leaderboard until the live competition capacity is reached. Registration for the live event is $250 per team. All athletes that compete in the live event will receive an event t-shirt at athlete check-in.


PROCEEDS

The 2022 CrossFit Fort Vancouver Championship is a not-for-profit event. Athlete registration fees will first be used to cover the cost of the event, and any additional revenue will be donated to The Way Foundation.

RX:

1st: $1000

2nd: $500

3rd: $250


Scaled & Masters:

1st: $500

2nd: $250


Additional sponsor prizes may also be included and will be announced at the live competition.


PURPOSE

There are two purposes of the CrossFit Fort Vancouver Championship:

Our primary goal is to provide an AWESOME event for all participants: athletes, volunteers, and fans.
Our secondary goal is to raise money to donate to The Way Foundation.

*These are minimum box heights. Anything higher is also acceptable. If a female in the scaled division would like to use a 16” or 20” box rather than 14”, that’s cool.

**These are minimum ruck loads. Scaled and Masters 115+ athletes are not required to use any external loading, but if an athlete in that division would like to wear a vest or a ruck, that’s cool too. 


Navy SEAL Chad Wilkinson, 43, stationed in Virginia Beach, VA, took his own life on October 29th, 2018. WIlkinson was an active duty SEAL for 22 years. 


Chad is survived by his wife, Sara. When Sara spoke at her husband's funeral, she recounted a recent story when she walked into the garage to find Chad doing step-ups wearing a backpack. He was training to climb Aconcagua, the tallest mountain in South America, by doing 1,000 step-ups at a time.


On November 11th, we honor Chad and thank ALL veterans for their service.
