About This Competition
Presented by CrossFit St Albans and Shapesmiths in Clapham Junction, the Break Free Games is a charity fitness competition to raise funds for Stonewall Housing.
This is a remote competition with three WODs (Workouts of the Day) developed by our experienced CrossFit coaches, featuring complex movements. The top athletes will be eligible to win amazing prizes, although all participants can benefit in knowing that 100% of the proceeds will go towards helping LGBT+ homeless people in London.
WODs will be released weekly on 13 August, 20 August, and 27 August. The competition closes on 3 September. Athletes can join the competition at any time before 3 September, but they must submit their completed WODs by competition closing in order to be eligible for prizes.
Athletes will also receive exclusive access to live sessions on Zoom on 16 August, 23 August, and 30 August, for those who want to have a go at the WOD alongside our Break Free Games community.
Requirements
Athletes will need access to weightlifting equipment.

*Please note that prizes can only be delivered to a UK address. If the winner cannot provide a UK address, the next place winner will receive the prize. Winning WOD entries may be reviewed to verify the accuracy of your reported performance and are therefore subject to disqualification. Winners for each WOD and overall competition performance will be determined and announced only after the competition closes on 6 September.
Support for LGBT+ Homeless People
100% of proceeds will go directly to Stonewall Housing, a charity organization which has been providing life-saving support for homeless LGBT+ people since 1983. They provide supported accommodation, housing advice, mental health advocacy and domestic abuse support to the LGBT+ community across London.

Workouts
This fitness competition is raising money for Stonewall Housing who help those without homes in the LGBTQ community. We really appreciate your participation and support for this charity.
Bye, Legs Part One is a 7 minute AMRAP of ascending reps. This workout will be released on Thursday 27th August and the submission deadline is the 3rd September.
It consists of 3 movements:
front rack barbell squats at a combined weight of barbell and plates of 42.5 kg for male athletes and 30 kilogrammes for female athletes,
air squats and
double dumbbell cleans using 22.5 kilogramme dumbbells for male athletes and 15 kg dumbbells for female athletes.
Part one is a 7 minute amrap of ascending reps, as follows:
4 barbell front squats
4 air squats
4 double dumbbell cleans,
8 barbell front squats
8 air squats
8 double dumbbell cleans, adding 4 reps to each movement each round.
The athlete’s score for Bye, Legs part one is the number of reps completed in the 7 minute window.
The athlete then rests 2 minutes

Bye, Legs part 2 has a 7 minute time cap and comprises the same three movements as Part 1, but this time, but in reverse order. The athlete begins with:
20 double dumbbell cleans 22.5/15 kg
20 air squats
20 barbell front rack squats, 42.5/30kg
Then 16 of each movement, then 12, subtracting 4 reps of each movement, each round.
The athlete’s task is to make it back down the ladder and complete 4 dumbbell cleans, 4 air squats and finally 4 front rack barbell squats in the 7 minute time cap.
Bye, Legs Part 2 is scored in the number of reps complete at the 7 minute mark.
There are a total of 180 reps available to complete in the 7 minutes.
Jump is a 10 minute AMRAP, consisting of 3 movements:
6 burpees
5 pull ups and
4 box jumps (30/24 inch)
The athlete’s score for this WOD is the number of rounds and reps completed in 10 minutes.
Push and Pull is released on Thursday 13th August, submission deadline is the 6th September.
Push and Pull is a couplet - seven rounds for time of seven barbell deadlifts and 14 push-ups.
For the deadlifts, The RXweight for male athletes is 100 kg comprising Barbell and weights, and female athletes 70 kg comprising Barbell and weights. either a male or a female bar can be used.
