Marbella Team Series es una competición Por parejas del mismo sexo (HH - MM) ; las tres eliminatorias para las series por equipos comenzarán y se completarán en febrero/marzo, y las finales de la competición se celebrarán el 14 y 15 de mayo (sábado y domingo). Habrá cuatro categorías: RX, Intermedio, Escalado y Masters. Nuestro objetivo es invitar a 192 equipos (384 atletas) a las finales de mayo en función de su posición en los entrenamientos clasificatorios. 

***Categorías y requisitos mínimos***

Parejas RX (MM - HH)

RX es la categoría de mayor nivel en el Campeonato por parejas.

La categoría RX es perfecta para aquellos atletas que aspiran a competir a un nivel más alto con su compañero de ejercicios. Les espera un fin de semana de entrenamientos desafiantes en todos los sentidos. A continuación se detallan los requisitos previos y las directrices para competir en esta categoría:

Ambos atletas deben sentirse cómodos con un volumen relativamente alto de movimientos gimnásticos comunes como toes to bar, pull ups, handstand push ups. 
Sólo se requiere que uno de los atletas realice Muscle up (en barra o en anillas), aunque si ambos atletas son capaces de realizarlas sería una ventaja. 
Se exige a ambos atletas que sean capaces de realizar un alto volumen de ciclado con barra con movimientos de halterofilia ( series continuas de clean & jerk y snatch)
Sólo se requiere que uno de los atletas pueda nadar una distancia de corta a media. 

Parejas Intermediate (MM - FF)

La categoría Intermediate será una de nuestras categorías más populares en el Campeonato por parejas. 

La categoría Intermediate es una categoría perfecta para aquellos atletas que son ávidos CrossFitters y desean pasar un fin de semana divertido con su compañero mientras ponen a prueba su forma física. A continuación se detallan los requisitos previos y las directrices para competir en esta categoría:

Se requiere que ambos atletas sean capaces de completar series pequeñas o medianas de movimientos gimnásticos comunes en CrossFit, como pull ups y toes to bar. (no es necesario que ninguno de los dos atletas haga handstand push ups).
Ambos atletas deben ser capaces de realizar double unders (saltos dobles de comba).
Se exige que ambos atletas sean capaces de realizar todos los movimientos estándar con barra que se encuentran en CrossFit.
Sólo se requiere que uno de los atletas pueda nadar una distancia de corta a media. 

Parejas Masters 40+ (MM - FF)

La categoría de masters requerirá que ambos atletas tengan 40 años o más. Este año sólo habrá una categoría masters en el Campeonato por parejas.

La categoría Masters 40+ es una categoría perfecta para aquellos atletas que son ávidos CrossFitters y desean pasar un fin de semana divertido con su compañero mientras ponen a prueba su forma física. A continuación se detallan los requisitos previos y las directrices para competir en esta categoría:

Categoría Scaled 

Una categoría desafiante, pero perfecta para el principiante de CrossFit. Los atletas de la categoría Scaled pueden experimentar un fin de semana duro, sin embargo todos los entrenamientos serán adaptados apropiadamente y son perfectos para los principiantes.

A continuación se detallan los requisitos previos y las directrices para competir en esta categoría:

No se requiere que ningún atleta complete toes to bar o pull ups, estos movimientos serán escalados.
No es necesario que ninguno de los atletas haga double unders (saltos dobles de comba).
Se exige que ambos atletas sean capaces de realizar movimientos de barra estándar con pesos ligeros.
Sólo se requiere que uno de los atletas nade una distancia de corta a media.

**La primera prueba tendrá un componente de natación. Si ninguno de los dos atletas se siente cómodo nadando, igualmente animamos a las parejas a participar en el evento, ya que habrá 5 pruebas más en el transcurso del fin de semana**.

Marbella Championship Team Series 

The Marbella Team series is a M/M and F/F partner competition; three qualifiers for The Team Series will begin and be completed in February/March, with the finals of the competition to be held on the 14th & 15th of May (Saturday & Sunday). There will be four categories - RX, Intermediate, Scaled, Masters. Our objective is to invite 192 teams (384 athletes) to the finals in May depending on their finishing position in the qualifying workouts. 

***Categories & Minimum Requirements***

RX Pairs (MM - FF)

RX is the highest skilled category in the Marbella Championship - Team Series. 

The RX category is perfect for those athletes who are aiming to compete at a higher level with their gym buddy. Expect a weekend of challenging workouts in every way. See the below the pre-requisites and guidelines to compete in this category:

Both athletes should be comfortable with numerous sets of common gymnastic movements such as toes to bar, pull ups, handstand push ups. 
Only 1 athlete is expected to perform muscle ups (bar or ring) although if both athletes are able to perform muscle ups that would be advantageous. 
Both athletes are expected to be able to perform high volume barbell cycling. 
Only 1 athlete is expected to swim a short to medium distance. 

Intermediate Pairs (MM - FF)

Intermediate will be one of our most popular categories in the Marbella Championship - Team Series. 

The Intermediate category is a perfect category for those athletes who are avid CrossFitters and keen for a fun weekend with their buddy while putting their fitness to the test. See below the pre-requisites and guidelines to compete in this category:

Both athletes are expected to be able to complete small to medium sets of common gymnastic movements found in CrossFit such as pull ups and toes to bar. (no handstand push ups from either athlete are required) 
Both athletes are required to be able to perform double unders.
Both athletes are expected to be able to perform all standard barbell movements found in CrossFit.
Only 1 athlete is expected to swim a short to medium distance. 

Masters Pairs 40+ (MM - FF)

The masters category will require both athletes to be 40 years or older. This year there will be only one masters category in the Marbella Championship - Team Series.

The Masters 40+ category is a perfect category for those athletes who are avid CrossFitters and keen for a fun weekend with their buddy while putting their fitness to the test. See below the pre-requisites and guidelines to compete in this category:

Both athletes are expected to be able to complete small to medium sets of common gymnastic movements found in CrossFit such as pull ups and toes to bar. (no handstand push ups from either athlete are required) 
Both athletes are required to be able to perform double unders.
Both athletes are expected to be able to perform all standard barbell movements found in CrossFit.

Scaled Category 

A challenging category, but a perfect category for the CrossFit beginner. Scaled athletes can expect a tough weekend, however all workouts will be scaled appropriately and perfect for the CrossFit newcomer.

See below the pre-requisites and guidelines to compete in this category:

Neither athlete is expected to complete toes to to bar or pull ups, these movements will be scaled.
Neither athlete is expected to do double unders
Both athletes are expected to be able to perform standard barbell movements at light weights.
Only 1 athlete is expected to swim a short to medium distance.

**Event 1 will have a swimming component. If neither athlete feels comfortable swimming we would still encourage pairs to participate in the event, there will be 5 more workouts over the course of the weekend**
