The Big ShRED Competition
About This Competition
Welcome to The Big ShRED, a same sex pairs functional fitness competition held in Norwich, UK. The competition is targetted at RX standard athletes - this means at least 1 member of each pair should be at an 'RX' standard, or close to it. We have a cap of 15 female, and 15 male pairs each.
Sign-in for the event is at 8.15am on Saturday 10th December 2022, with the first workout starting at 9am. Location, parking and heat/lane assignment will be emailed closer to the date.
The top 3 male, and top 3 female teams will earn themselves a go at the Final event, where the winners will be decided - prizes and awards await those teams! Movement standards will be high, and the events will separate themselves from your standard local competition. Grab your partner, create the perfect team name, and get training - we will post practice workouts and movement standards on our instagram @bigred.training
Minimum Standards -
60/40kg snatch
70/47.5kg squat clean
120/85kg deadlift
1 member to have at least 1 bar muscle-up / 1 pull-up / 1 Handstand push-up / 1 wall walk / 1 toes to bar
Please note The Big ShRED will not offer refunds for non-attendance, or cancelled entries. A substitute may be issued for one athlete within the team, as long as 2 members attend under the team name registered, with waivers signed.

Workouts
2 Rounds - For Max Reps:
1 minute max gymnastics points (split)
1 minute max synchro' hang squat clean (50/35kg)
2 minutes max cal. ski-erg
Directly after Event 1A - In 6 minutes Establish:
1 rep max hang clean (anyhow, only 1 bar to be used between the pair)
For Time (13 min' cap):
600m shuttle runs (performed as P1, P2, P1, P2 - 10 shuttles each)
10 line burpee broad jumps
600m shuttle runs (performed as P1, P2, P1, P2 - 10 shuttles each)
20 line burpee broad jumps
600m shuttle runs (performed as P1, P2, P1, P2 - 10 shuttles each)
30 line burpee broad jumps
EVENT 3 - 10 min' AMRAP:
10 deadlifts (120/85kg, split)
10m O.H DB lunge (1x22.5/15kg, together, 2x5m sections)
2,4,6,8 etc. wall walks (split)
For Time (14 min' cap):
40 cal. row-erg (split)
12 DB squat snatch (1x30/22.5kg) / front rack hold (100/65kg)
