Presented by Reno Powerhouse Fitness

The Gorilla Games is a 2 day fitness event highlighting functional fitness in Reno, Nevada, including RX/Scaled divisions for both men and women. Each division will have similar workouts with varying weights and reps.

3 :30 seconds Attempts to Establish Max Snatch Weight

-Power, Squat, or Split snatch allowed.

-6 Athletes per heat. Athletes will lift one at a time. Each athlete will have 30 seconds to lift. They will change their weights while other athletes are lifting. 

-Within the 30 second time cap, athletes can attempt snatch as many times as they want. The bar must be off the ground before the 30 second mark for lift to count. The athlete can still be finishing the lift after 30 seconds as long as they began the lift (bar off ground) before 30 second mark. 

Score is heaviest successful lift.

-Time Cap: 17 Minutes

-Tie Break: Time Round 4 is completed.

-Rope climbs: Athlete must touch beam

-Ring rows: feet must be directly beneath rings

-Knee Raises: Athlete must hit full extension at bottom, knees above parallel at top.

**every break, athlete must perform 3/1 Wall-Facing HSPU

50 Jumping Ring Pull-Ups

**every break, athlete must perform 2/1 Wall Walks

 

Tie Break: RX--15th RMU, Scaled--25th pull-up

Open standards for WFHSPU and Wall Walks

8 alt. DB Split Snatches (1x70/50)

20 Double Unders

*add 20 DU every round (20-40-60-80, etc)

8 alt. DB Split Snatches (1x50/35)

20 Single Unders

*add 20 SU every round (20-40-60-80, etc)

 

Tie Break: Time at completion of Round 3 (60 DU or SU)
