Summer Vibes 2022
About This Competition
We have two teams that qualified for the Down Under Championships in Wollongong. The competition is on the 18th-20th of November so we are hosting a fundraiser competition to help with the cost of the trip. Our goal is to cover the team's registration costs ($800 per team).
Summer Vibes will be run as follows:
- Teams of 2 - Male + Female
- 4 Events
- One division (programmed accordingly)
Grab a partner and sign up, as always the aim to to provide a fun but challenging environment for all athletes. Workouts will be released on the day.
Teams will judge the heat following their own, so we don't need too many extra hands but if you'd prefer to just help out on the day without doing the workouts then email info@instinctfitness.co.nz

Workouts
8 minute EMOM
10 Burpees to target
As many reps of "gymnastics" in time remaining
*alternating minute on, minute off with your partner
Pull-ups (must be kipping only) - 1 point per rep
Bar muscle up - 3 points per rep
For Time:
200 Calorie Assault Bike
Each partner must complete 1x 400m run as a relay before being able to switch freely.
*Share the remaining calories however you wish after both partners complete the 400m run
* Move the Assault Bike (using the wheels!) every 50 calories
Time cap: 14 minutes
Athlete A
3 Touch & Go Cleans
*The complex must fulfill the following conditions:
- At least one rep must include passing through a squat, i.e. a squat clean
- One rep only must start from the hang, i.e. a hang clean
These can be performed as any of the three reps and may be done in different reps or the same rep. Interpret that how you will.

3 Touch & Go Snatches
*The complex must fulfill the following conditions:
- At least one rep must include passing through a squat, i.e. a squat snatch
- One rep only must start from the hang, i.e. a hang snatch
These can be performed as any of the three reps and may be done in different reps or the same rep. Interpret that how you will.
For Time, in pairs:
30 Synchro Wall Balls to 10' target (9/6)
50 Box jump overs (20"), shared
30 Synchro Dumbell Snatch (22.5/15)
50 Single Dumbbell Box Step-overs (22.5/15, 20"), shared
30 Toes to Rings while partner hangs from pull up bar
*No rebounding allowed on box jump overs
