WELCOME TO THE OSOS CLASSIC!

We are back with our spring edition of The Osos Classic, we are thrilled to throw this event and hope that you enjoy the experience we are trying to create. For details on divisions please scroll down below.


Event Dates and descriptions are posted below this is the SCALED division, and will take place a week Prior to the RX division which will be


SCALED DIVISION REQUIREMENTS


This is our “Scaled” division this is programmed for beginner and almost intermediate athletes .

You are Scaled if you can perform the following movements, and move the following

weights or movements without an issue.


  • Pull Ups

  • Supine Pull ups

  • Kettlebell swings

  • Power Snatch (95/55)

  • Clean & Jerk (135/95)

  • Thrusters (95/65)

  • DB Efficiency (35/20)

  • Bench Press (115/75)

  • Wall ball (14/10)


Note: These weights reflect most of the weights used in the work outs.

Workouts

Event 7: Fried Chicken

Event 7 begins at the call of 3,2,1 with the following task

For time:

30 Back Squats 225/135

60 Hang Squat Cleans 95/65

CAP: 7:00

Standards:

Back Squat: You must be below parallel for the lift to be successful.

Hang Squat Cleans: Any sort of hang above the knee is allowed, squat must be below parallel and have full extension at the top of each rep.

Event 1: The Fire Pit

Event 1 Starts at the call of 3,2,1 with the following triplet

10 Rounds

For Time 1:1

12 Bench Press (115/75)

24 Kettlebell Swings (45/30)

60ft Front Rack Kettlebell Lunges

CAP: 15:00

Standards:

Bench Press- Contact at the chest is required when the bar is coming down, and full extension of the elbows must be reached in every single rep in order for it to count.


Judges will keep an eye on athletes how ever neither partner is allowed to spot their partner on the bench, no other contact is allowed on the bar other than the person performing the bench press unless he or she calls for a spot at which case it will be considered a NO REP.

Kettlebell Swings: Full extension at the top must be reached, this includes, arms, hips, knees. The kettlebell must be clearly over the athletes head and must pop out behind the athlete when it is on the return up.

Lunges: You will use your kettlebell and rack it on either one of your shoulders and advance from their, the floor will be split up in 6ft lengths if athletes drop their kettlebell or cant complete the length they will be asked to start where they left off. we are looking for full extension at the top, no shuffling of the feet is permitted that will be a no rep and you will be asked to go back.

This is a 1:1 work out which means one partner will begin and complete a full round, once they have completed the round their partner will begin their round with an end result of 5 rounds for each partner.

Event 2: Built Tough

Event 1 starts at the call of 3,2,1 at which point athletes will complete the following couplet

For Time

60/50 Cal Bike

16 Front Squats [155/105]

50/40 Cal Bike

12 Front Squats [185/115]

40/30 Cal Bike

8 Front Squats [205/125]

30/20 Cal Bike

4 Front Squats [225/135]

CAP: 12:00

Bike: Feet and Hands must stay on the bike at all times if they come off before the set is done it will be a NO REP.

Front Squats: These will be from the rack, we are looking for full depth at the bottom and full extension at the top. This movement will be shared which means athletes can again choose how to partition reps.

Event 3: A Running Symphony

Event 3 will begin at the call of 3,2,1 with the following task

For Time

400 Meter Run

60 Deadlifts (185/115)

400 Meter Run

30 Synchronized Bar Facing Burpees

400 Meter Run

60 Sumo High Pulls (95/65)

400 Meter Run

CAP: 17:00

Standards:

Deadlift: Athletes must reach full extension at the top and the plates must make contact at the bottom of the deadlift every time.

Bar Facing Burpees: You must Be facing the bar at all times, chest must make contact with the floor at the same time in order for the rep to count, Males must have a two foot take off. Females are NOT required a two foot take off. If you make contact with the bar it will be a NO REP.

Sumo High Pull: Athletes must reach full extension at the top with both hips and knees the bar must reach the collar bone area in order for the rep to count at the top and the plates must make contact at the bottom every time.

Event 4: The Devil's On The Lose!

Event 4 Starts at the call of 3,2,1 with the following task

8:00 AMRAP

10 Synchronized Knees to Chest

5/5 One Arm Devil Press

Standards:

Knees to Chest: These are to be completed in synchronization, both partners must reach their knees to their chest at the same time for the rep to count. Any grip is allowed. There must be a full extension of the hips and feet must go behind the upright.

One Arm Devil Press: Burpee down , stand up into a dumbbell snatch, must have full extension when athlete stands up, must alternate each rep.

Event 5: Mambo #3

Event 5 will begin at the call of 3,2,1 with he following task at hand

For Time:

Partner 1:

5 Rounds

20 Wall Balls (20/14)

8 Clean & Jerks (115/75)

Partner 2:

100 Wall Balls (14/10)

40 Snatches (75/55)

CAP: 12:00

Standards:

Wall balls: hip crease below the knee full extension at top ball must clearly pass the 10/9 foot mark.

Snatches: Any style of snatch is permitted (Split/Power/Squat/Muscle), there must be a full extension at the top and hips for every rep to count.

Clean & Jerk: Any style of clean & jerk is permitted (Split/Power/Squat/Muscle), there must be a full extension at the top and hips for every rep to count.

Event 6: Dumbbell Purgatory

Event 6 starts at the call of 3,2,1 with the following task

For Time

100 One Arm Dumbbell Push Press(25/25/25/25)

80 Alternating Dumbbell Cluster

60 Dumbbell Box Step Overs

(35/20)

CAP: 10:00

Standards:

Push Press: athletes will alternate arm every 25 reps, we are looking for full extension at the top note this is a push press NOT a push Jerk.

Alt. Cluster: athletes will perform a one arm squat clean and press with the dumbbell then alternate arms, for each rep to count. Full depth squats are required, press requires full lock out at top.

Box Step Overs: Dumbbell must have contact from athlete at all times it may however be placed wherever the athlete chooses. Full extension is not required.
