The Great Slate - 2026
About This Competition
The 3rd annual team competition, The Great Slate, will take place on Saturday May 16th. Teams will consist of 4 people of any gender. There will be 3 gender options for weights and reps - these options are male, Non-Binary, and Female and teams can be made up of any compbination of genders.
During the online registration process, each athlete will have to select male or female. Unfortunatley Competition Corner does not currently have a non-binary gender field for selection. If you are a non-binary athlete please email us to let us know which team you are on. Thank you for taking this extra step!
There will be scaling options for each workout but there is only 1 division. This means that if a team needs to scale a workout they will place below any team that does the workout RX and will be ranked accordingly among the teams that also scales the workout.

Workouts
1 Mile Team Run
Break it up however you want, but each athlete must run at least 200m.
There will be a marker for 200, 400, 600, and 800m.

12 Minute EMOM
2RM Thruster (:30 window)
-Each athlete will have two attempts
-Athletes may lift in any order
-Lanes 1 & 3 will have a :30 window for one athlete to complete a 2RM Thruster. There will a :15 transition then Lanes 2 & 4 will have a :30 window for 1 athlete to complete a 2RM Thruster. This sequence will continue until all 4 athletes have a :30 window.
-Score = combined weight of each athletes heaviest successful lift.
-Score will be adjusted based on gender.
12 Minute AMRAP
-2 athletes working at a time
-Station 1, three athletes may complete this amrap any way they want, switching at any time in any order. Just complete the reps.
-Station 2, one athlete must complete the prescribed calories then a different athlete must ski the prescribed calories. Each completed round of calories will add 20 reps to your final score.

-Athlete 1 will complete the full workout, then athlete 2, then athlete 3, then athlete 4.
