Workouts

2RM SNATCH

Flow

For total load:
0:00 - 3:00 min Female Pair 2RM Snatch
1:00 min break
0:00 - 3:00 min Male Pair 2RM Snatch

Snatch Description:
This event is for total combined weight. Females will have 3:00 minutes to each establish a 2 rep max snatch, followed by a 1:00 minute break. The male pair will then have 3:00 minutes to establish their 2 rep max snatch.

Rules:

- Repetitions must be “Touch and Go”. If an athlete lets go of the bar and it drops to the floor during the complex they must start again.

- For safety reasons, if an athlete misses either the first or second lift, the complex will not count. Both lifts must be made consecutively and in one attempt. For example, if an athlete makes snatch #1 and misses snatch #2 but manages to keep hold of the barbell the complex will not count.

- Athletes must remain on the platforms at all times, stepping off the platform will be considered a no-rep.

- “Touch and Go” is defined as the bar touching the ground before the athlete immediately initiates the second lift. The bar may not come to rest or a deliberate stop on the ground.

- After the first successful lift athletes may hang the bar for as long as they like before starting the second lift.

- Teams may help each other load plates.

- For the complex to count, the lift must have begun prior to the expiration of the time window. Successful lifts outside of the 3:00 window may still count as long as they began within the 3:00 minute time window.

Flow

Time Domain: 12 minutes

Male athletes will begin at the barbell, female athletes will begin on the rowing machine.
On 3,2,1…Go! Male Athletes will have 3:00 minutes to accumulate as many clean and jerk reps as possible, at the same time female athletes will have 3:00 minutes to accumulate as many calories on the rowing machine as possible. After 3:00 minutes the male and female pairs will switch, Male athletes will then row for 3:00 minutes and the female athletes will clean and jerk for 3:00 minutes. This sequence repeats two more times with the time domains decreasing from 3:00 minutes, to 2:00 minutes and then to only 1:00 minute on each station. There will be no rest or transition time between the stations.

Rules

- Athletes may share the work within their partnership anyway they choose.

- A clean and jerk of any kind is allowed.

- Only one barbell (male or female) is allowed on the platform at any time.

- Pairs may not switch stations until their time domain is complete. For example, athletes performing the clean and jerk must remain on the platform, athletes rowing must remain on or behind their rowing machine until the time domain expires.
