About This Competition

The Teen Fitness League (At Home) presented by The Brand X Method

 

The Teen Fitness League is a unique competition specifically designed to engage the competitive teen fitness community. This series will be ongoing and will be structured in a month to month format. Each month will be its own competition meaning that a winner will be crowned in each division each month. Each monthly competition will consist of 4 workouts released Wednesday at 5pm PST and due to be submitted by Monday at 5pm PST each week. The first month begins APRIL 15th and will end May 11th, at which point athletes can choose to sign up for the following months competition starting May 13th. 

The first month of this competition will be as inclusive as possible... meaning NO EQUIPMENT needed to participate! Additionally in light of all that is going on we are giving a portion of all proceeds every month back to The Brand X Method Training Centers to support their continued mission of doing whats best for kids in this trying time. 

 

The divisions are: 

Boys 10-11

Girls 10-11

Boys 12-13

Girls 12-13

Boys 14-15

Girls 14-15

Boys 16-18 (yes if you are 18 still on April 15th 2020 you can compete)

Girls 16-18 (yes if you are 18 still on April 15th 2020 you can compete)

TEEN FITNESS LEAGUE TEST 1

Rx Divisions

AMRAP IN 10 mins 

10 Object (9”) facing burpees 

10 Single leg lateral hops over 9 inch object right leg 

10 Single leg lateral hops over 9 inch object left leg

***10-11 is a 4” object*** 

 

All Scaled Divisions

AMRAP in 10

 10 Line Facing Burpees 

10 Single leg lateral hops over line right  

10 Single leg lateral hops over line left

 

Prior to starting this workout, the athlete must be fully standing facing their object or line. At the call of go athletes may begin performing their 10 burpees, once completed athletes will move onto their 10 single leg hops starting with their right leg. When beginning the lateral hops athletes will change the orientation of their bodies from facing the object or line to parallel the object or chalk line. The direction in which they choose does not matter only that they are parallel with their object or line. ALL 10 repetitions must be completed on the right leg prior to beginning the repetitions on the left leg. IF an athlete begins the left leg repetitions prior to completing the right leg reps all repetitions will be counted as zero from that point on in the workout until corrected. Athletes will continue in this fashion completing as many rounds as possible in 10 minutes. ***Note*** Record the time you complete each round because this is your tie breaker score.
