OREsome Foursome Throwdown
About This Competition
Join us at the OREsome Foursome Throwdown 2021.
This is an event for teams of four, each team being made up of 2 males and 2 females.
We have two divisions, scaled and RX, with 8 teams in each division.
Don't be put off by RX- this competition is about work capacity and teamwork. Any 'high skill' work will be shared across the team, meaning you don't get stopped in your tracks. Below are some standards to give you an idea of what you may face on the day:
RX:
- Deadlift 40/60kg
- Pull ups
- Toes to bar
- 24 inch box jumps
- Double unders
- Barbell 35/50kg
- Dumbbell 15/22.5kg
Scaled:
- Deadlift 25/40kg
- Jumping pull ups
- Hanging knee raises
- 20 inch box jumps
- Single unders
- Barbell 25/35kg
- Dumbbell 10/15kg
Every team is guaranteed 3 workouts across the day, with the top 3 teams in each division advancing to the final.
We have a coffee and pizza vendor on site for the day confirmed.
No qualifiers, just sign up and turn up.

Workout 1 – "Cirque de Sore Legs"
2 rounds of, in a 6 minute window for maximum calories:

50 Synchro Goblet Squats
(24/20/16/12kg)
In remaining time, max calories on:

Rest 2 minutes between rounds.
Score: total calories on both machines in both rounds
Workout 2 - Complex
Time cap: 16 mins (8 mins per gender)
Establish a max weight for the complex:

1 Shoulder to Overhead
Score: Max combined weight
Workout 3 – "Rinse and Repeat"
Time cap: 18 minutes

With one athlete working at a time plus one athlete skiing,

Score: Total of calories (1 cal = 1 rep) and reps.
