Join us for our First Annual Battle for Brews!

CrossFit Burien and Elliot Bay Brewery are partnering up for the throwdown of the summer! Join us on September 16th for some fitness and fun. Same-sex teams of two will compete in 3 workouts and one floater workout, with the top teams going into a final workout for prizes, pride, and glory!


EARLY BIRD SPECIAL

  • Be the first 15 teams to register and receive our early bird special! $55 per person ($110 per couple).
  • Remaining registrants: $65 per person ($130 per couple)
  • Register BEFORE September 1st to secure a t-shirt.

The floating WOD is 2 minutes long. One partner will ride an Air Assault bike for 1 minute for max calories while their partner is completing max over the shoulder d-balls for 1 minute. Then, partners will switch movements for another full minute. Score: max total calories for both partners + total d-balls completed. D-ball weight: Rx men 100#, women 70# Scaled: men 70#, women 50#.

11 minute AMRAP - "Bear Complex" 1 Hang Power Clean 1 Front Squat 1 Shoulder to Overhead 1 Back Squat 1 (behind the neck) Shoulder to Overhead *Barbell cannot be dropped. If barbell touches the ground there is a shuttle-run penalty to be completed by each team member. If the bar is dropped in the middle of the complex, the round is lost you must restart the complex at the hang power clean after completing penalty shuttle run. Partners must alternate rounds - the bar can only be passed to your partner after a full complex round is completed Your score is how many bear complex rounds are completed in 11 minutes. RX weight: 95/135 Scaled weight: 65/95

8 Minute EMOM: Max Calorie Row Keg Hold *One athlete will row for max calories for one minute while their partner holds a keg. The keg holder must be standing in an upright position with hips fully extended. If the keg holder needs to break or comes out of the fully extended position the rower must stop rowing. Athletes will switch every minute for 8 total minutes. The end total calories will be the teams score.

14 Minute Time Cap to Complete: 30 Box Jumps (24/20) (Scaled: Step-Ups 24/20) 30 Sumo Deadlift High-Pull (115/75) (Scaled: 75/55) 30 Burpees 30 Overhead Squats (115/75) (Scaled: 75/55) 30 American Kettlebell Swings (53/35) (Scaled: 35/26) 30 Overhead Squats (115/75) (Scaled: 75/55) 30 Burpees 30 Sumo Deadlift High-Pulls (115/75) (Scaled: 75/55) 30 Box Jumps (24/20) (Scaled: Step-Ups 24/20) *Partners will break up reps however they choose.
