Spring Fling Partner Competition
About This Competition
CrossFit Surf City is hosting the Spring Fling Partner Competition! This competition is open to all athletes to register in partner pairings. Same sex and co-ed teams will be offered for RX. Intermediate divisions will be offered for same sex teams. Same sex teams will be offered for masters divisions. *Qualifying for master's division requires a combined age of 100 or higher between partners.
Each team will compete in a minimum of 3 separately scored workouts throughout the day.
Workout 1 will be released: March 1st, 2024
Workout 2 will be released: April 1st, 2024
Workout 3 will be released: on site on competition day
Suggested minimum skill/movement requirements per division:
RX:
- Bar Muscle Ups (at least 1 partner)
- Chest to Bar Pull Ups (both partners)
- Handstand Push Ups (both partners)
- Toes To Bar (both partners)
- Box Height: 24 in
- DBs: 50/35
INTERMEDIATE:
- Pull Ups (at least 1 partner)
- Toes To Bar (at least 1 partner)
- Wall Walks (at least 1 partner)
- Box Height: 24/20 in
- DBs: 35/25
MASTERS:
- Jumping Pull Ups (at least 1 partner)
- Box Height: 20/18 in
- DBs: 25/20

35 Calorie Echo Bike Buy In
Directly into 4 alternating rounds of:
20 ft. dual DB walking lunge
10 dual DB box step ups (20 inch box)
20 ft. dual DB walking lunge
*While partner 1 completes their round, partner 2 holds 2 kettlebells at their sides until partner 1 completes their round.
Once the 4 rounds are complete, with the remaining time:

Execution:
This workout will have 3 rounds of lifts. 1 partner will snatch (power or squat) and 1 partner will clean & jerk (squat or power clean; push jerk or split jerk). Teams can choose which partner completes either lift.
Partner 1 will begin with a :20 window to attempt 1 lift. There will then be a :20 rest period, followed by a :20 window for partner 2 to attempt their lift. This will complete round 1, and will be the same format for rounds 2 and 3. There will be 1 minute rest period between rounds.
Each partner will have 3 total attempts during the workout at their lift, the score will be the total combined weight of both partner's heaviest completed lifts.
