It's the Gobbler Games 10 Year Anniversary, so we are going are going to celebrate by making this the most epic year!!
4 person teams, 2 Males/2 Females, Cannonball Style!!

Divisions! Rx, Intermediate, Scaled, Masters (all members must be 40+)

Snatch (M/F 1)
Clean & Jerk (M/F 2)
𝘿𝙀𝙏𝘼𝙄𝙇𝙎/𝙎𝙏𝘼𝙉𝘿𝘼𝙍𝘿𝙎
You will choose 1 Male and 1 Female to complete the 1rm Snatch, and the other Male and Female will complete the 1rm Clean & Jerk.
1 Person will lift at a time, and wait until the their judge signals that the lift is completed before dropping the bar.
Athletes can change weight as desired (you can go up or down in weight) just let the judge know what weight you are attempting before you lift.
Your score will be the combined total of the each athletes heaviest completed lift.
Tie breaker will be the weight of your lowest lift.
𝘾𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙣 & 𝙅𝙚𝙧𝙠
𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧:
The bar starts on the ground.
𝗠𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁:
The bar is moved from the ground to the shoulders in one smooth motion, then overhead. The barbell must pass through the front-rack position before going overhead.
𝗘𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻:
The rep is complete when the bar is fully locked out overhead, directly over the middle of the body, with the arms, hips, and knees extended, and the feet in line under the body.
Power variations: Power variations are allowed.
No snatching: Snatching is not permitted.
No touching the floor: The athlete may not touch the floor with any part of the body other than the feet.
𝙎𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙘𝙝
𝗠𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁:
The bar is moved from the ground to overhead in one smooth motion.
𝗘𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻:
The rep is complete when the bar is fully locked out overhead, directly over the middle of the body, with the arms, hips, and knees extended, and the feet in line under the body.

Standards

Sandbag Over The Shoulder

The sandbag must be lifted from the ground and pass over the top of the athlete's shoulder. The sandbag should not roll off the side of the shoulder

 

Chest to Bar Pull Ups

Starting position: Begin each rep with your arms fully extended and your feet off the ground
Contact: Your chest must clearly make contact with the bar at or below your collarbone
Grip: You can use any grip, such as overhand, underhand, or mixed
Pull-up style: You can use any style of pull-up, such as a strict, kipping, or butterfly

 

Equipment 

You will have 1 male and 1 female sandbag. Division load specific.

You will have one speal bar. All speal bars will be set to the same height. You may use j cup, box or plates to get up to the bar if needed, but you are responsible for putting any equipment used back in its place.

Standards

Sandbag Squats:

You will pick the sandbag up from the floor then secure it in the bear hug position. Once here you will start your squats. Start at full extension of the knees and hips then lower until the hip crease passes below the knee, then stand to full extension of the hips and knees. 

 

Toes to Bar:

Athlete must go from a full hang with feet behind the bar to having the toes touch the pull-up bar. Both feet must be in contact with the bar at the same time, inside the hands. The arms and hips must be fully extended at the bottom and the feet must be brought back behind the bar and behind the body.

*each team will have one sled. One person works at a time and can tag out as desired. This will be a standing hand over hand sled pull. Feet will be inside of a 3ft x 2ft box which they must stay inside of. The pull will be 20ft. Goal is for each person on the team to pull their max load.  You may load and unload weight as desired.

 

Scoring:

Score will be the combined weight of each athletes heaviest successful pull.

Tie Breaker will be the weight of the lowest weight of the 4 sleds


1:00 Trasition

 

Standards:

Athletes must pull hand over hand style with feet remaining inside the 3x2 box at all times. You may pull with both hands on the rope. 

Athlets cannot wrap the rope around any part of the body.

If sled tips over you must return the sled to the starting position and reload/restart.

If the any part of the athletes feet touch the taped square they must return the sled to the start position and restart. 

Pull is complete when the sled carbiner completly crosses the finish line. 

 

Equipment:

You will have 2 45s, 2 35s, 2 25s, 2 15s 2 10s, 2 5s, 2 2.5s and the sandbags for your division. Once all plates are loaded you can put sandbags (the load of the sandbags you have are the same as the loads set for your divisions) on top of the plates. That is the max load. 

You will have two pull squares at each end of your lane, so when one person finishes your team will turn the sled around and walk your rope to the other end of the lane and your next athlete will pull from there.

Standards:

 

HSPU:

You will have a mat with two taped lines measuring 36in wide. Your finger may touch the line.

The athlete's arms must be fully locked out and in line with their body before descending.  
The athlete's heels must be in contact with the wall, and their hips should be open

The athlete's palms must remain inside the lines of the box, but their fingers can touch the line.

The athlete's head must make contact with the ground or a target at the bottom of the repetition.  
The rep is credited when the athlete returns to the starting position. 

Kipping or Strict are acceptable. 

 

Elevated Push Ups:

Atheltes will start with both hands clearly on the top side of the box (not gripping the edges). 

Athletes will lower their body until the chest makes clear contact with the box

Athletes will then return back to full extension of the elbows.

 

Burpee Box Jump Overs:

Starting position: Face the box and touch your chest and thighs to the ground. All parts of your body must be inside the with of your box in the start position. 
 
Takeoff: Use a two-foot takeoff. Only your feet can touch the box.  You may jump all the way over the box without touching. 
 
Landing: Land on the box with both feet. You can jump or step off to the other side. If you jump over the box, your feet must pass over the box, not around it.  

 

Scaled Division may step over. Both feet must touch the top of the box.

 

Team Arms Locked Lunges

This will be the 3 athletes who are not on the bike. 

Athletes will interlock thier arms 

Athletes will step forward until the back knee touches the floor. All knees must be in contact with the floor at the same time. 

Athletes will then stand back to full extension of the knees and hips. Al athletes must be extended at the same time before starting the next rep.

 

Thrusters:

This is a standard barbell thruster in which the barbell moves from the bottom of a front squat to full lock out overhead.

The hip crease must pass below the knees. A full squat clean into the thruster is allowed if the bar is on the ground.

The barbell must come to full lock out overhead with the hips, knees and arms fully extended, and the bar directly over the heels.
