Moving into competition #3 of the The GRIT Series!!! It is the last opportunity through a In-Person competition to earn an invitation to the GRIT Championship in Summer of 2023.
Keeping with the structure of The GRIT Series, the Warrior Smackdown is a two-person, same sex, team event.
The Warrior Smackdown is open to all level of athletes over the age of 18 for our Advanced, Intermediate, and Novice Division.
All athletes are encouraged to familiarize themselves with different fitness domains; more specifically to have some exposure to CrossFit-style workouts and powerlifting. The Advanced divisions will include all forms of powerlifting, bodyweight movements, and gymnastic style movements at a (RX+) Level. The Intermediate divisions will include lighter weight and less advanced movements than Advanced. Novice Divisions will be more focused on pushing athletes with basic movement foundations and weight that usually reflects scaled options in programming. All athletes will be required to sign a waiver.
Cost
$250 per team
Fee includes – 3 to 4 competition workouts + finals for top teams – event t-shirt
**Entry fee CANNOT BE REFUNDED NOR CARRIED TO A FUTURE EVENT, but it can be transferred to another team up to 1 week before the event athletes registered for.

Floater
200m Sandbag Carry
Partners will start at opposite sides of the 200m course. At the count of “3..2..1..GO” Partners will pick up their designated sandbags and move towards each other. At the 100m mark there will be an obstacle in which each partner must get their sandbag over the obstacle. THEN, each partner will pick up their partner's sandbag and take it back to their own starting point.
*So athletes will start and finish at the same point, but with the opposite partner's sandbag at the finish.
