On December 4th, 2021, CrossFit Murrieta will be hosting our 8th Annual WOD for a Cause! In years past we have donated to charities such as City of Hope, Next Step Service Dogs, and have given back to families within our gym that have been going through hard times. This year will be a little different. We want to dedicate this year's WOD for a Cause to one of our long time Crossfit Murrieta members Tony Giordano who passed away in July. Tony was larger than life and loved by all. His impact and influence far exceeded the walls of CFM. He was an active and very generous member of the community. Tony and his wife Krystle organized a holiday toy and food drive in the community each year. We want to help carry on Tony & Krystle’s tradition. This year we will have the opportunity to raise money to purchase toys & nonperishable food items to support Murrieta’s Holiday food and toy drive.

This year’s WOD for a Cause will be a same-sex partner event. Teams of two will be competing in a series of CrossFit workouts to find the fittest athletes in our Advanced, Intermediate, and Fun divisions! Female teams will compete on Saturday, November 13th and male teams will compete on Sunday, November 14th. All levels of athletes are encouraged to participate, volunteer, and support each other, while raising funds in memory of Tony Giordano. In past years, we have had more than 100 participants, countless volunteers, and more supporters than we ever imagined. This year, we look forward to increasing participation to more than 100 athletes!

While we celebrate our 11th year as a Crossfit affiliate, we want to ask our Crossfit Family and the surrounding community to once again, step up and help us honor Tony’s example and legacy this holiday season. Enclosed are the details of how the event will work, as well as the sponsorship packet with various opportunities. For your generosity, your business will receive exposure not only at the event, but on the CrossFit Murrieta website and through our social media platforms. To learn more about the event, please visit www.crossfitmurrieta.com/Wod-for-a-Cause.

Thank you for considering your sponsorship!

An extra thank you goes out to all the athletes, volunteers, and ongoing supporters of CrossFit Murrieta’s WOD For A Cause. Without you, we could not make this event successful year after year.
