About This Competition

This is a Local Comp specifically for you Masters Athletes who want to Have fun, Have a great workout, and be able to express your abilities in either an RX or Scaled Capacity.

This is for Teams of 2, Must be 35 or more by the end of the Calendar 2021 and your team must combine to the age of 80 or more by the end of the Calendar year. 

We strive to be Fun, Fair, On time, and provide a memorable experience with a nod to the music, culture, from the 80's 90's and dare I now say the 2000's.   

Workouts are released!!!!

 

There are No refunds, but in the event of any pandemic forced closures, we will commit to a solid reschedule and or minimum partial refund (in case print jobs have already been done which eats into our costs).  Substitutes will be ok up untill the day of the event but we may NOT be able to accomodate T-Shirts if the substitution is made before the T-shirt/print cut off date.

Comp Rules for Safety and fairness will be strictly enforced.

5 Minute Amrap

Athlete A: Rows For Calories

Athlete B: Lunges while holding one DB Over Head (RX 50/35) (Scaled 35/20)

Athletes may switch at anytime, but MUST switch anytime the dumbell drops below the shoulder (athlete may rest dumbbell on the shoulder, but if it drops below, athletes must switch).

Reps only count when DB is held locked out or semi/locked out Over head, (For scaled div. may also be racked on shoulder) Knee makes contact with the ground in any type of lunge (forward or backward), with alternating legs, and standing fully upright to complete the lunge. 

your score is total reps/Cals for a grand total

12 Min Cap, Partner AMRAP version of The 2021 Open 21.3, One athlete works one athlete rests... hence NO 1 minute rests as in the individual version.

A nod to "21.4" in the open. The team has 7 min immediately following WOD 2 to complete a combined max weight of the following complex.

1 Clean (any)

1 Hang Clean (any)

1 Jerk (Shoulder to Over Head)

 

Yes we eliminated the Deadlift Compared to the true 21.4, and you must complete the entire complex before the clock runs out for the lift/lock out for the lift to count.  Your score is total combined heaviest successful lift from each athlete on a given team. (There will be 2 Barbells available per team, and yes one of the 2 barbells may be pre-loaded with your first weight to attempt for this workout)  The 1st clean of the complex must be completed (full hip extension in a standing front racked position) before the end of the clock for the lift to count.  Though there are two barbells one lift at a time only and let the judge know your weight prior to your lift, its up to the judge to varify your weight but not predetermine what you think you are lifting.

20 Toes to Bar or 60 Hanging knee raises (3 Hanging Knee Raises = 1 TTB in the rep scoring).
