About This Competition

The 2024 Summer Summit Games, scheduled to be held on June 15, 2024, is a bi-annual CrossFit competition that brings together over 100 athletes, volunteers, and fitness enthusiasts from the region. This event celebrates the spirit of competition, camaraderie, and the pursuit of excellence in the realm of functional fitness. This event attracts a diverse and engaged audience, including athletes and spectators from all walks of life.

1 REP MAX CLEAN & JERK

Clean and jerk ladder.

Male and female athletes of every division will be split into two groups. Athletes will be required prior to the start of the competition to submit their opening clean and jerk weight. From there the weight will increase by 10# for all divisions until athletes fail the lift. Athletes will have one minute to complete the lift and may attempt as many times as possible during that minute. As long as the light is begun before the 1 minute mark the lift will count. Any style of clean and jerk may be used. Belt, knee sleeves, wrist wraps, thumb tape are permitted. Knee wraps, wrist straps are not permitted.

Starting weights:

Male Rx: 145# Male scaled: 115#

Female Rx: 115# Female scaled: 95#

TIME CAP: 17 MIN

50 BOX JUMPS

25 CHEST TO BAR PULL-UPS

50 WALL BALLS (20/14)

25 RING DIPS (EACH)

50 WALL BALLS (20/14)

25 CHEST TO BAR PULL-UPS

50 BOX JUMPS (24/20)

 

SCALED: STEP-UPS, RING ROWS, WALL BALLS(14/10), BOX DIPS

3,2,1 go, one athlete working at a time chipping away at 50 box jumps. Athletes may alternate 1 for 1 on opposite side of the box if desired. Two foot take off l, full extension at the top, stepping down required. No portion of the upper body is to make contact with the box.

Any hand orientation may be used for chest to bar pull-ups. Chest must clearly make contact with the pull up bar.

Wallballs can be split up however desired. In air transition is fine.

Ring dips. 25 reps each, Can be split up as desired.

All reps are split equally. For the 25 chest to bar, the partner who does 12 in the first half must do 13 in the second half of the WOD.

1000M ROW

EVERY MINUTE, ON THE MINUTE INCLUDING 00:00

10 KIPPING HSPU

SCALED: 10 DBL DB THRUSTERS (35/25)

3,2,1 go. Partner 1 begins on the rower accumulating as many Meters as possible. Partner 2 completes 10 kipping handstand pushups (double dumbbell thrusters 35/25 for scaled). Each athlete will switch every minute on the minute until 1000 Meters on the rower are accumulated.

Should the 1000m be completed before the other partner completes their 10 handstand pushups, the time will continue until the reps are completed.

Should athlete 2 not complete their 10 handstand pushups or dumbbell thrusters in the required minute, switching will not occur until the reps are completed by partner 2. Partner will have to wait eating into the next minute.

AMRAP: 15 MIN

MAX SYNCHRO TOES TO BAR

EVERY TIME YOU BREAK: RUN 400M

SCALED: MAX SYNCHRO KNEES TO CHEST

 

3,2,1 go. Rx athletes will complete max synchro toes to bar. Any reset or drop from either athlete will mean a 400m run will need to be completed prior to continuing to attempt max synchro toes to bar. Scaled athletes will perform max knees to chest.

Should a no rep be credited athletes can continue to accumulate max toes to bar (Rx)/knees to chest (scaled) without a 400m run penalty.

Should one athlete require to dead hang in order to re synchronized with his/her partner no 400m run penalty will be applied as long as the intention is not to rest. This will be the discretion of the judge.

Athletes must run together during the 400m run.

Athletes can use gymnastic grips or tape, but may not use both.
