About This Competition

The Crossfit Funky Open Pregame In House Competition. This is an individual competition with RX and Scaled Divisions. It is comprised of four past Crossfit Open workouts that have been redone to add some added fun! Get yourself signed up and talk your gym friends into signing up. It's going to be a great time for all! Cheers!

21-18-15-12-9-6-3 reps for time of:

Handstand Push ups

30’ Double KB Front Rack Walking Lunges 53lb KBs

*13 minute time cap

At 3, 2, 1 GO, athletes will move to the wall to complete 21 Handstand Push ups. Handstand Push up standards will be briefed on the day of the competition. After the 21st Handstand Push up, athletes will move to their KBs where they will clean them to the front rack position. Athletes will then Lunge 15' down, turn around and Lunge 15' back. Lunge standards will be briefed on the day of the competition. Athletes will then complete 18 Handstand Push then 30' of Lunges and so on until they have completed 3 and the final 30'. Your score will be your time or the reps you complete inside the time cap. The tiebreaker will be your time after you complete the round of 15 Handstand Push ups plus the 30' Lunge.

Athletes will begin seated on their Rowers with the screens on. Judges will ensure this takes place. At the call of 3, 2, 1, GO, athletes will begin Rowing. Once the athlete reaches 27 Calories, they will proceed to the Pull up bar where they will complete 21 Chest to Bar Pull ups. From there, athletes will proceed to their bar and complete 15 Thrusters, followed by 100 Double Unders, another 15 Thrusters, 21 Chest to Bar Pull ups and finally, 27 Calorie Row. Your score will be your time or your total reps should you hit the 11 minute time cap. There is no tiebreaker.

All movement standards will be covered on competition day.

Athletes will start behind the starting line. At 3, 2, 1 go, athletes will proceed to their Barbell and perform 2 Clean & Jerks. The athlete will then begin there 10 Shuttle Runs. 25' down, 25' back. The athlete will then perform 4 Clean & Jerks followed by 10 more Shuttle Runs and so on. The athletes score will be the total amount of Clean & Jerks plus Shuttle Runs completed. Shuttle Runs count as 1 rep. Only fully completed 50' Shuttle Runs will count.

Example: Athlete completes 12 Clean & Jerks plus 2 full 50' Shuttle Runs, there score will be 94 reps.

The tiebreaker will be the time on the clock when the athlete completes the round of 6 Clean & Jerks plus the 10 Shuttle Runs. 

Immediately following the workout, athletes will immediately begin the second part of the workout. The Barbell will start with the weight is already loaded.

A Complex means you are required to hang on to the barbell for the duration of each lift. If you drop the barbell before completing 1 Deadlift + 1 Clean + 1 Hang Clean + 1 Shoulder to Overhead, the rep will not count. You are allowed to use any style Clean and Hang Clean you'd like, as well as any style Shoulder to Overhead. Your score will be the heaviest load you succesfully complete.

At the call of 3, 2, 1, GO, athletes will move to their DB and begin working on 50 Alternating Dumbbell Snatches. BOTH HEADS OF THE DUMBBELL MUST MAKE CONTACT ON THE GROUND FOR THE REP TO COUNT. After the Dumbbell Snatches, athletes will move to the rig to complete 15 Toes to Bar. As with the DB Snatches, BOTH FEET MUST MAKE CONTACT WITH THE PULL UP BAR AT THE SAME TIME FOR THE REP TO COUNT. After the 15 Toes to Bar are completed, the athlete will then move back to the Dumbbell where they will complete 40 alternating Dumbbell Snatches, followed again by 15 Toes to Bar. Athletes will continue this, decreasing reps on the Dumbbell Snatches by 10 until they have completed 10 alternating Dumbbell Snatches and the final set of 15 Toes to Bar, or until they hit the time cap. Your score will be your time or total reps completed. The tiebreaker will be your time after you've completed 40 alternating Dumbbell Snatches plus 15 Toes to Bar.
