About This Competition

SFA SANDCLASH 2022 CROSSFIT COMPETITION AND FITNESS FESTIVAL

SandClash is a two-day CrossFit Competition and Fitness Festival designed to challenge athletes, celebrate the dynamic fitness community, and promote an active and healthy lifestyle. The weekend will be packed with competition, entertainment, classes, seminars, and vendors from around the world.

The event will be held at Grenada Square in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on 4-5 February 2022.

How to Be in the Competition : (Qualifier)
All Male Athletes will compete in the Mixed

For Female Athletes, you will have the option if you want to compete in a private or mixed arena Arena

1st Place Male Individual: 30,000 SAR
2nd Place Male Individual: 20,000 SAR
3rd Place Male Individual: 15,000 SAR

Team International -Team of 3: ( 3 Male or 3 Female )

Division 3
Team Scale -Team of 3:( 3 Male or 3 Female ) 

For All Athletes from all around the world


if you don't do CrossFit and you would like to compete and test your fitness level and enjoy the spirit of the competition this division is for you.
All workouts will be designed to test your fitness skills in all aspects without including the technical and weight lifting movement in CrossFit.
in this division, all Male Athletes will compete in the mixed Arena
and all Female Athletes will be competing in the Privet Arean.

- All Individual divisions are open only to Arab athletes
- All Team divisions are open to all athletes

22.1 (a)

For Time

2000 meters row 

 

22.1 (b) begins immediately upon completing 22.1 (a) and should be recorded in the same video with no cuts and edits.

1 RM for the following complex:

1 Squat Clean + 1 Hang Squat Clean + 1 Shoulder to Overhead

 

Time Cap 14’

 

For the heaviest load, perform one set of the complex 1 Squat Clean + 1 Hang Squat Clean + 1 Shoulder to Overhead. If you didn’t finish 22.1, your score at 22.2 is zero.

A successful attempt should finish the complex before the time cap of 14 minutes.

Keep the camera in a spot that can clearly show you met all the movements standards.

After the squat clean, the barbell should not touch the ground until the completion of the complex.

                                                                                                                                                       

Video Submission Standards:

Video Submission Standards

Prior to starting, film the plates and barbell to be used so the loads can be seen clearly. All video submissions should be uncut and unedited in order to accurately display the performance. A second person with a stopwatch or an app with a timer (WODProof) should be in the frame throughout the entire workout. Shoot the video from an angle so all exercises can be clearly seen meeting the movement standards.

The athlete may begin the workout seated in the rower but may not grab the handle until the call of “go.”

The monitor must be set to a single distance workout 2000m’’. The athlete may not leave the rower, remove foot straps or release the handles before clearly covering the 2000m distance.

*only Concept 2 Rowers allowed.

Time Cap:

15 Minutes

 

Toes to Bar Movement Standards:
        • Athletes begin by hanging from the pull-up bar with arms extended.

        • The heels must be brought back behind the bar.

        • Overhand, underhand, or mixed grips are all permitted.

        • The rep is credited when both feet contact the bar between the hands at the same time.

        • Any part of the feet may make contact with the bar.

 

 
 
 

Double Under Movement Standards:
        • The rope passes under the feet twice for each jump.

        • The rope must spin forward for the rep to count.

        • Only successful jumps are counted, not attempts.

 

 

Thrusters Movement Standars:

• Each set of thrusters begins with the barbell on the ground.

• The crease of the athlete’s hip must clearly pass below the top of the knees

in the bottom position.

• A full squat clean into the thruster is allowed when the bar is taken from the floor.

• The rep is credited when the athlete reaches full lockout with the barbell overhead.

The athlete’s hips, knees, and arms must be fully extended, and the bar must be directly over,

or slightly behind, the middle of their body.

• The rep must be completed in one fluid motion from the bottom of the squat.

A front squat followed by a jerk is not allowed.

• If the barbell is dropped from overhead, it must settle on the ground before the athlete picks it up for the next repetition.

• Athletes may NOT receive assistance moving or resetting their barbell.

 

 

Video Submission Standards:

Film the pull-up bar, plates, and barbell so the loads can be seen clearly.

Videos must be uncut and unedited to accurately display the performance.

A clock or digital timer should be visible throughout the workout.

The video can show clearly that the exercises are meeting the movement standards.

Videos with filters, different lenses, etc, may be rejected.
