About This Competition

THE BATTLE AT BRANDED ONE 2020

Register for our third annual competition, The Battle at Branded One, in honor of Veterans Day and our Branded Heroes.


This is a four workout, five-event competition. Teams consist of 2, same-sex partners.

 

****2020 Division Standards****
-RX Division Standards

  • Proficient at:
    • Clean and Jerk; 135/95
    • Deadlift: 225/155
    • DB Snatch: 50/35
    • Double Unders (at least 1 athlete)
    • Push-ups
    • Handstand Walks (3ft increments, 1 athlete)

-Scaled Division Standards

  • Proficient at:
    • Clean and Jerk; 95/65
    • Deadlift: 155/115
    • DB Snatch: 35/20
    • Single Unders (at least 1 athlete)
    • Knee Push-ups


****Fundraising****

Event 1: Fundraising As in previous years, fundraising will be a  component of the competition, as we are a nonprofit to benefit physically and mentally disabled servicemen and women.

After registering your team, you may begin fundraising through this website under your team name. Fundraising is the first event of this competition, so we encourage you to start your fundraising once you've signed up.
The minimum donation is: $100
After the minimum donation, the points will be tiered as follows:


Top 25% of funds raised = 1 point (1st place)
Next 25% of funds raised = 2 points (2nd place)
Bottom 50% of funds raised = 3 points (3rd place)
Any team not meeting the minimum donation will receive 6 points (6th place).

****Prizes/Raffle****

Every team member registered will receive a swag bag and t-shirt. The top 3 teams in each division will receive exclusive prizes. The raffle and silent auction will all be virtual this year, so your family and friends can participate from a distance! 


****COVID-19****

The regulations are fluid and ever-changing. As such, we will release details on those regulations as they relate to The Battle as the event nears.

AMRAP (12 min)

10 Synchro Burpees

15 Synchro Plate Ground to Overheads

20 Synchro Plate Overhead Squats

100 Double/Single Unders (1 Athlete)

 

RX: 45lb/25lb Plates, Double Unders, must jump over the plate on burpee

Scaled: 25lb/15lb Plates, Single Unders

 

Synchro Burpees: Must touch chest and thighs to the ground at the same time for the rep to count. Not required to jump over the plate at the same time. RX must jump over their plates. Scaled may step over their plates.

Synchro Plate G2OH: The plate must come in contact at the same time and then reach full knee, hip, shoulder, and elbow extension at the same time with the plate locked out overhead for the rep to count.

Synchro Plate OH Squats: Must achieve below parallel squat with overhead at the same time and then achieve full knee, hip, shoulder, and elbow extension at the same time with the plate locked out overhead for the rep to count.

Double/Single Unders: Only one athlete is allowed to work at a time. Athletes may switch as needed.

20ft Handstand/Wheelbarrow Walk*

Scaled: 95/65, Calorie Bike, Wheelbarrow Walks

*Handstand walks and wheelbarrow walks must be completed in 2.5ft unbroken increments.

24 Deadlifts

24 Push-ups

24 S.A. Dumbbell Thrusters

24/20 Cal Bike/Row

 

RX: 225/155, 50/35 DB, Calorie Bike

Scaled: 155/115, Knee Push-ups, 35/20 DB, Calorie Row

For Time: (11 Minute Cap)

100 KB Swings (70/53)

Find 3 Rep Max Front Squat of each partner with remaining time

 

RX: 70/53 

Scaled: 53/35 

 

One partner works at a time. Kettlebell reps may be divided as your team sees fit. One bar per team to find 3RM of each partner. Bar must start from ground. Squat clean may count as first rep.
