About This Competition

Welcome to Kids summer Fitness throwdown 2023!

Kids Summer Fitness ThrowDown is a Kids ONLY CrossFit style fitness competition for ages 6-17. We will have 4 different age categories.

All kids will receive a t-shirt, swag bag, and 3 workouts for the day. Event will run 8am-2pm with free lunch provided for the athletes.

Top 3 winners in each division will receive additional awards and prizes!!

Entry is $50. Register by July 14 at 12 pm and get a t-shirt with registration.

Workout Standards:

Ages 6-9:

• Goblet Squat (15/10 lbs)

• Burpees

• Seated to Stand Ropes

• ¼ mile run

• Planks

• Plate OH hold (15 lbs)

• Wall Sits

Ages 10-12:

• Wall Balls (10/8 lbs); target (8/6 ft)

• Jumping pull ups

• Ring Rows

• Burpees

• ½ mile run

• Vertical Jump

• Bench (empty barbell); for reps

• Squat (empty barbell); for reps

Ages 13-15 & 16-17:

• Wall Balls (14/10 lb); standard target

• Pull ups (M)/ jumping pull ups (F)

• Burpees

• 1 mile run

• Max Vertical jump

• Max Bench

• Max Squat

Station 1: Plate OH Hold

Station 2: Plank Hold

Station 3: Wall Sit Hold

  • All stations are for time

Ages 10-12

Station 1: Bench Press for max reps

Station 2: Back Squat for max reps

Station 3: Max Vertical Jump

  • Station 1 & 2: 1 attempt, Station 3: 3 attempts (Score: best out of 3)

  • Bench Press & Back Squat standard empty barbell (45/35)

Ages 13-15 & 16-17

Station 1: 1 Rep Max Bench Press

Station 2: 1 Rep Max Back Squat

Station 3: Max Vertical Jump

  • Station 1 & 2: 1 attempt, Station 3: 3 attempts (Score: best out of 3)

  • Bench Press & Back Squat standard empty barbell (45/35)1 Rep Max Bench Press

Ages 13-15 & 16-17 (9 minute AMRAP)

  • 12 Wallballs (14/10 lbs - standard target)
