Shamrock Showdown 2023
About This Competition
CrossFit DGA will be hosting the 2nd annual Shamrock Showdown on Saturday April 29, 2023 in Dublin, Georgia.
CrossFit DGA is a 12 year affiliate located in the heart of middle Georgia just 45 mins east of Macon. We have a new addition to our venue this year which is a local farm that is within “running distance” from the gym. Just like last year we will have 3 workouts that will be inside and 2 workouts that will be outside.
The Shamrock Showdown format will be same sex, 2 person teams. We will have 5 scored events throughout the day. There will be scaled and Rx divisions.
Movements that you will NOT see
Snatches
Box Jumps
Any type of Muscle Up
You will need to bring your jump rope, grips, a pair running shoes (trail shoes preferably) and any other additional gear that you typically use when you are training.

Workouts
Trail Run w/ 18 min cap (1.2 milesish) (the run is performed together)
then, straight into
100 WB for time (the WB's are split evenly) #30/20 #20/14

Upon returning from the Trail Run the athletes will immediatley go into their 100 WB. You will have the remaining time to complete your WB's.

This is a waterfall format. Partner 1 will ski 2 cals, then partner 2 will ski 2 cals, Partner 1 will do "2" Alt'ing DB Snatches (1 per side), Partner 2 will repeat the DB Snatches, Then Partner 1 will do their 2 burpees followed by partner 2.....

The Echo Cals need to be 25 each but partition any way you would like. There is a tiebreak at the end of the first calorie set.....
The 3 sets are split anyway you would like.....If one person is better at DU's let them knock em out....etc

All reps are split as followed
10's and 8's are you go, i go
6,4, and 2 are split any the team would like.
If workout is finished score will be the total time to completion.
If workout is not finished score will be total reps completed @ time cap (10:00)
