About This Competition

We are excited to announce our first Lifting Zone Virtual Weightlifting Competition, “TLZ 001”. Athletes will have 3 attempts at a 1rm Snatch followed by 3 attempts at 1rm Clean And Jerk

All athletes will have to submit a video of their attempt for judging via our custom time stamped video on the WeTime app.

We will be taking gender and weight into account, and using a secret formula, we will be able to select the strongest pound for pound lifter over the competition.

Check out the Workout details and event rules below:

How it works:

Weigh in can be done at home the morning of competition but will need to be a time stamped video uploaded to WetTime app. Athletes are required to weigh in on camera and clearly show this on camera. The weigh in does not need to be in lifters of knee sleeves etc. These can be put on post weigh in.

Athletes will have 1hr to complete the competition.

Athletes must use WeTime to record their videos as we will be using the timestamp connected to the video to verify both videos were recorded within the 60min time frame.

The Competition will be split into 2 parts recorded over 2 separate videos. Note, Both videos have to be recorded within a 60min time frame (we will be able to verify this using the timestamp on your WeTime video). Athletes are required to weigh in on camera and clearly show this on camera. The weigh in does not need to be in lifters of knee sleeves etc. These can be put on post weigh in.

1) Snatch. Athletes will have a 10min time cap to complete 3 attempts at a Snatch, Warm up lifts can be done prior to starting the video timer. Once weight is loaded athletes must announce their weight attempt to the camera. Misses will count as attempts, only 3 attempts allowed within the 10min time frame. The athlete cannot lower the weight of the bar after an attempt.

2) Clean and Jerk. The video timer for the clean and jerk must be started within 50mins of starting the snatch video timer. Giving you a total of 60mins to complete both lifts. We can verify this with the time stamp that is automatically attached to your WeTime video. Athletes will have a 10min time cap to complete 3 attempts at a Clean and Jerk, Warm up lifts can be done prior to starting the video timer. Once weight is loaded athletes must announce their weight attempt to the camera. Misses will count as attempts, only 3 attempts allowed within the 10min time frame. The athlete cannot lower the weight of the bar after an attempt.

TLZ 001

Score = Total weight successfully lifted over the 2 lifts.

Videos will be recorded via WeTime if you don't have the app download it here : https://wetime.io/

Once you have the App you can find The TLZ 001 on the home screen, which will give you access to our personal timers.

Videos must be uploaded to Youtube or video streaming service and set to unlisted or public for review.
