About This Competition
Denmark’s biggest Hybrid CrossFit and OCR Competition
Experience an unparalleled blend of athleticism at the Svendborg Beach Throwdown, a premier functional fitness event.
This year, we proudly present a dynamic MIX TEAM competition featuring four individuals—two males and two females—in either the INTERMEDIATE or ADVANCED categories.
Our unique fusion of indoor/outdoor events on Day 1 including our Beach/Harbour Party redo, complemented by OCR/water elements on the scenic beach on Day 2.
The athletes will experience a fun competition in Svendborg Town on Frederiksøen on day one, and on the beach of CHRISTIANSMINDE STRAND for the second day. These two days promise an exhilarating convergence of competition and beach party vibes.
Embrace the challenge as you partake in a two-day competition comprising of 6 events and a thrilling surprise event, skillfully designed for both Intermediate and Advanced levels. Expect a combination of Classic CrossFit/functional elements along with Obstacle Course Race challenges, characterising this event as a HYBRID experience.
Teams will be tested on land and in the water, engaging in diverse and stimulating workouts. From paddleboarding and navigating obsticles to lifting weight and showcasing teamwork on the WORM, participants will experience the epitome of functional fitness.
Following its success in 2023, the Svendborg Beach Throwdown anticipates the return of athletes seeking both physical exertion and enjoyment.
Athletes will compete in two categories:
Advanced Teams should be proficient in:
Barbell cycles with weights capped at 45kg for women and 60kg for men (static holding may be heavier).
Dumbbell weights limited to 15kg for women and 22.5kg for men.
Wall walks.
Heavy Slam-Ball movements.
Collaborative paddleboarding.
Synchronised Worm movements.
Teamwork with various pieces of equipment.
Various jumping, running, crawling, and swimming.

Intermediate Teams should be proficient in:
Dumbbell weights limited to 15kg for women and 22.5kg for men.
Wall walks to a lower marked level.
Heavy Slam-Ball movements up to approximate waist height.
Collaborative paddleboarding.
Synchronised Worm movements.
Short distance running both off and on paths.
Teamwork with various pieces of equipment.
Various jumping, running, crawling, and swimming.

•Athlete 1 sprint the mini obstacle course to collects an object and return via the course route.
•Athlete 2 repeat

Phase 2
•All athletes with their objects complete the obstacle course and return their objects to their starting place.
•Drop the objects and all sprint back through the assault course and across their finishing line to record your time.
