About This Competition

A Competition created by locals for locals and hosted by CrossFit Gladstone. The competition is designed to give those new to CrossFit a chance to dip their toe in the water whilst still challenging the more experienced individuals.

Divisions: 
These standards are no indication of intended workouts. They are only to be used as a guideline when determining decisions when registering. 

Scaled -

Excellent knowledge with beginner competency through all movements

Cleans 40/20kg
Snatch 30/20kg
Wall Balls 9ft (parallel squat at worst)

RX-

Excellent knowledge and competency through all movements. Prepared (and able) to take on the more technical movements and heavier weights. Completed the Open mostly as perscribed (RX).

Snatch 60/40kg

Chest to Bar
Toes to Bar

Workouts & Standards
All movements and standards will be outlined.? Each WOD offers different levels of movement and/or weight. The competitor will choose at registration which level to complete the workout. This rewards strengths exposes weaknesses and enables everyone to compete at a level which is challenging for them. 

All workouts and movements standards will be released in the week prior to the event.

Briefing: Competition briefing will be specified closer to the date on the Facebook page and Website 

Waivers: Waivers are to be filled out before the day, spares will be around on the day.

FAQ’s

Warming Up 

There will be a warm-up area for your convenience. There will be equipment for you to use during your warm-up, but if you have specific warm-up needs, you will need to bring those items with you. 

Parking

Our parking lot is going to be reserved for vendors and utilized for the workouts and a warm-up area throughout the day so you will be unable to park in the venue. There is plenty of parking along Helen street and in the vacant block across the road. 

Spectators

You are welcome to bring as many spectators with you as you would like and we will have room for you to set up tents, chairs, tables, etc. for your convenience. During the competition inside the building will be reserved for athletes and spectators only, so your belongings will need to be placed outside. 

Food & Drink 

There will be food and drink options available to be purchased on the day.

WORKOUT FLOW

On the call of 3, 2, 1....GO Partner 1 will make their way to the sandbag and complete 10 cleans. Once they complete 10 cleans they will get on the Echo Bike and get as many calories as possible. At the 2min mark Partner 1 will get off the bike and tag in Partner 2 who will complete 10 cleans before getting on the bike. At the 4min mark Partner 2 will tag Partner 1 back in. At the 6min mark Partner 1 will tag in Partner 2. 
The score for this event is the total reps completed (both sandbag cleans and cals on the bike).

WORKOUT FLOW

On the call of 3, 2, 1....GO Partner 1 will move from the start line to the rig and perform the 6 Bar muscle ups / pull-ups for the men and 4 bar muscle ups / pull-ups for the women. Once they complete the required reps on the rig, partner 1 will move to their barbell and complete 4 thrusters. The first rep can be squat cleaned. 

Once Partner 1 completes the thrusters they will tag Partner 2 who will move to the rig to complete their bar muscle ups/ pull-ups and thrusters and tag Partner 1 back in. Teams will continue in this manner until all work is completed or the 10min time cap is reached. 

The score for this workout is the time taken to complete the required work or the amount of reps completed at the 10min time cap.

WORKOUT FLOW

On the call of 3, 2, 1....GO athletes will move from the start line to the wall balls. All 150 Wall Balls need to be completed before moving on to the rower. Athletes may swap in and out whenever they deem appropriate. Upon completing the 150 wall balls both athletes will move to the rower and begin the 100 cal row. While one athlete is on the rower the other athlete is not permitted to adjust the rower or assist the athlete working in anyway. Once 100cal row is completed athletes will move to the box and begin the burpee box get overs. A tiebreak time will be recorded upon the completion of the row. 

The Burpees are to be done facing the box. Athletes are allowed to place their hands upon the box to get over the box. At least one foot or leg must touch the box before getting over to the otherside of the box.

The Score for this workout is the time taken to complete all the work.

WORKOUT FLOW: 

The bar starts preloaded to the first weight. On the call of 3, 2, 1...GO both athletes will advance to the bar and begin the 30 snatches at the first weight. If athletes complete the 30 reps before the 4min mark they can change the weight on the bar to the next weight but MUST WAIT until the next 4min window to begin the snatches. If athletes fail to complete the 30 reps within the 4mins their workout is over and their score is the amount of reps completed. 

There is no minimum number of reps each partner needs to complete in each 4minute window. The score is the total amount of reps completed by the team.

WORKOUT FLOW

On the call of 3, 2, 1.....GO athletes will move from the start line to their barbell and perform 15 synchro burpees over bar. Once completing the burpees each athlete will complete the DU's at the same time (100 for RX, 50 for SCALED). Athletes will then move to separate movements. Partner 1 will complete 30 T2B (Knees to Chest for scaled) and Partner 2 will do 30 Deadlifts. Once both partners have completed the 30 reps athletes will switch stations. Partner 1 will go to deadlifts and partner 2 will go to T2B. Once the 30 reps has been completed by both athletes they will go back to the DU before going to the 15 burpee over the bar. Time stops when both athletes cross the start line. 

The Score is the time taken to complete the work.
