About This Competition

We are back for year number 8!

Battle on the Border Same Sex Partner Competition.

CATEGORIES include:
* RX Men & RX Women
* Masters Men & Masters Women 80+ years combined
* Masters Men & Masters Women 100+ years combined
* Scaled Men & Scaled Women

SCHEDULE:
6:30-7:15 AM Athlete check-in & T-shirt pick up
7:15 AM Athlete standards meeting & Affiliate team prizes
8:00 AM WOD #1 - Start
8:00 AM - 3:00 PM Floater WOD
4:00 PM - Finish & AWARDS

Workouts

FOR TIME: Split reps however

60m Prowler Push 
60m Plate carry
60 Weight Lunges w/ plate. RX & 80+ = plate overhead 
60m Plate carry
60m Prowler Push

* Prowlers will be loaded with a base weight of 90 lbs for men and 45 lbs for women. The two other plates listed below will be added on top of the base. These are your carry/lunge plates

RX: 2 x 45/35
Masters 80+: 2 x 35/25
Masters 100+: 2 x 25/15
Scaled: 2 x 25/15

WOD #1 - PART 1:

FOR TIME: 10 minute cap
Partners split reps however

80 DB Snatch
80 DU's
40 T2B
40 DB Snatch
40 DU's

RX: 50/35, DU's, Toes 2 Bar
Masters 80+: 50/35, DU's or 2 x Singles, Toes 2 Bar
Scaled & Masters 100+: 35/25, DU's or 2 x Singles, 40 Hanging Knee Raises OR 20 Toes 2 Bar

WOD 1 Chipper - PART 2:

MAX REPS in the remainder of the ten minute cap.

RX = Bar MU's (3 points) OR Chest to Bar Pull ups (1 point)

Masters 80+ = C2B (2 points) Pull ups (1 point)

Scaled and 100+ = Pull ups, *Jumping Single Pull ups allowed, to a bar you cannot touch.

As Many Reps As Possible in 6 minutes:

Hang Clean & Jerks

Partners split reps however
** At the minute 3 mark, STOP and do 30 bar over burpees with a double hop. Scaled and Masters 100+ can step over.
Then clean and Jerk the remainder of time

RX: 135/95
Masters 80+: 115/75
Masters 100+: 85/55
Scaled: 85/55

WOD #3: PART 1: For MAX total reps at 6 total bars

10 minute Squat Clean Ladder:

Partners Rotate every 90 seconds. After 1 full minute of work & 30 second transition.  

There are 6 total bars in Part 1, Each athlete gets one full minute at 3 different bars.

 

 

 

 

WOD 3 - PART 2:

For MAX total reps at bar 7.

IF Both partners are able to lift bar #7, they can rotate on the bar for one full minute. This is optional, not required.
