About This Competition
WELCOME TO THE MAYHEM CLASSIC!
The first North American Sanctional goes Live January 10, 2020, and it's happening at CrossFit Mayhem.
The multi-day event, programmed by Rich Froning Jr., will feature the top 60 athletes in the world, male and female, all of which have earned their invitation through the 2020 CrossFit Open.
Athletes will perform a variety of tasks in hopes of securing their ticket to compete at The CrossFit® Games. Not only that, but Froning and Friends will perform several workouts over the weekend, making it truly a one of a kind Sanctional experience.

Competition posting and leaderboard
Throughout the weekend, spectators will be able to stay up to date on the live action by simply scanning a QR code on their wristband. Anyone from home can catch the LIVE broadcast, or find the event leaderboard here.

Spectator Rules
Spectators will be expected to conduct themselves in an appropriate manner, as defined by CrossFit Mayhem staff. Any spectator found in violation of this may be requested to leave the competition without a refund.
- No pets inside the venue (other than service dogs)
- Parking, as detailed within
- No smoking inside venue
- All children must be supervised (Children under 5 get in free)
- Fireworks are prohibited

Coach Info
- Athlete coaches are considered spectators with limited access.
- Coaches do NOT need to buy a ticket.
- Coaches will be given (1) wristband upon entry at the event.
- Coaches are NOT permitted in warm-up or athlete care.
- Coaches ARE permitted to attend athlete briefings.
- Please ensure the Throwdowns team has the name and email of your coaches pass recipient.
Food
Athletes may bring in their own food and hydration needs for competition. Water will be provided; however, athletes are responsible for their own meals.
Athlete Care
- A full rehabilitation staff, provided by Airrosti, will be available on-site.
- Athletes will NOT be given space for their own personal care specialists, nor will any allowance be given on-site to set-up individual care areas.
Competition posting and leaderboard
Athletes will have credentials on a lanyard, with a custom QR code that will take them directly to the leaderboard so they can stay up to date on where they stand. Leaderboards can also be found here.

General Competition Rules
- Athletes will compete in a sportsmanlike manner, as defined by CrossFit Mayhem staff. Any athlete found in violation of this may be disqualified without further explanation.
- Athletes agree to attend all briefings in full and on time. Failure to do so will result in penalties as applied by CrossFit Mayhem staff.
- Athletes are required to wear Reebok uniforms. Footwear, however, is exempt.
Suggested Athlete Gear
- Weightlifting belts, various sleeves, and anything you may normally use during workouts
- Cold weather gear
- Running gear (street, trail, and machine)
- Rope climb accessories
*Feel free to bring your usual gear. All items subject to inspection.
