Summer Slam 2024 Presented by Patriot CrossFit
About This Competition
We are pleased to announce that on Saturday August 3rd, 2024 Patriot CrossFit will be hosting its 3rd annual Summer Slam Fitness Competition! This is the largest fitness competition in the greater DMV (District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia) area. This year, CrossFit affiliates, gyms, and other fitness facilities from as far as Nashville, TN and Boston, MA will be competing amongst members of the local fitness community.
We have SOLD OUT the past two years and plan to do the same in 2024. Over the course of the day we will have 48 teams consisting of 144 athletes taking the competition floor with the support of 60+ Volunteers, and being cheered on by 300+ Spectators. It truly is a special event as we bring Community together through fitness!
This year will have a total of 48 teams, made up of 24 Rx Teams, 12 All Male and 12 All Female and 24 Intermediate Teams, 12 All Male and 12 All Female. The competition will run the infamous "Power Hour" style, meaning each team will complete events back-to-back rather than spaced out over the course of the day. There will be a total of 6 heats with 8 teams in each heat. Each heat will run every 70 minutes. During those 70 minutes, teams will complete a total of at least four (4) scored events to test their overall fitness level.
This year, there will be a midday break so Athletes and Spectators can take advantage of the Vendor Village and our Judges and Equipment Crew can regroup and fuel for the afternoon heats!
Registration will open on Wednesday May 1st, 2024. The early bird price per each three-person team is $279 ($93 per Athlete). Our early bird special will end on Wednesday May 15, 2024 so be sure to take advantage of this discount!
In the event of a cancellation, the team will be eligible for a refund if the cancellation request is made within 10 days of the date of purchase. After 10 days, the team will no longer be eligible for a refund. You may, however, transfer your registration to another Athlete up until Monday July 15th, 2024.
All athletes will receive a welcome bag and T-Shirt the morning of the event if they register prior to Monday July 1st, 2024.
The top three teams of each division will receive prizes for their efforts with the first-place team in each Rx division receiving a custom Hero Barbell!!! We will also have a raffle for both athletes and spectators the day of the event to benefit a local charity in the Arlington County Police Department's Friends and Family Fund (ACPD FFF). Workouts will be released between Monday June 3rd, 2024 and Monday July 8th, 2024.
Athletes will be briefed on movement standards prior to the event and will have an opportunity to ask questions.
All volunteers will receive an event T-shirt, a meal provided by Mighty Meals along with gifts from Sponsors.

Live music will be provided as well!

Teammates are required to load their own barbells and declare their own weights before their lift.
