About This Competition

Grounded CrossFit is hosting it's inaugural annual functional fitness competition, The Humble Games

The Humble Games is a one-day competition consisting of 4 total workouts. The first 3 workouts will be released in the months leading up to competition day. The 4th workout is a Finals WOD for the top 5 teams of each division and will be released to everyone on competition day after the leaderboard is finalized.

The Humble Games is a CO-ED Competition (Male/Female Pair) with 2 divisions: if interested in a Teen Division please reach out to us. If we have a big enough interest we will open this division. 

Scaled: Ideal for novice athletes that are still mastering gymnastics and compound (Olympic) lifts. Beginners and first-time competitors welcome!

RX: For experienced competitors looking to be challenged with advanced gymnastics, heavy lifts, and intense aerobic capacity thresholds!

No refunds. Substitutions are permitted but The Humble Games staff must be informed of any team changes before competition day.

A "round" is:

8 Alternating DB Snatches 50lb/35lb (RX), 35lb/20lb (N)

2 Wall Walks

*Note: 1 athlete working at a time. The jump rope repetitions are total and shared as a team, but each round is completed by 1 athlete, and teams must alternate each round. There is no minimum work requirement per athlete for the jump rope. Either athlete can be the first to complete a round after the jump rope, but you must alternate.

P2 completes 30 double unders

P1 completes 1 round

P2 completes 1 round

P1 completes 60 double unders

P2 completes 20 double unders

P2 completes 1 round

*Both athletes will begin on the rower, not touching the handles. When the workout begins, each athlete will row their respective calories (12/10). Both athletes will remain on their rower until both have completed their calories. Then, one athlete will begin completing the set of wall ball shots. Partners may split the wall ball shot repetitions however they please. Finally, both athletes will get their barbells to their shoulders and complete 6 synchronized shoulder-to-overheads. Strict press, push press, or any jerk is permitted. The synchronized standard is met when both athletes have the barbell clearly over the top of their heads with knees, hips, and elbows fully extended.
