About This Competition

The 2020 Trinity Combine events:

June 1-7: 

#1 - Max Burpees in 3 minutes (total reps)

#2 - Max Elbow Plank (total time)

#3 - For time: 1 mile run (no treadmills)

#4 - Max Standing Broad Jump (inches)

#5 - 10 min AMRAP*: 5-10-15 of Push ups, Sit ups, Air Squats

*AMRAP - accumulate As Many Reps As Possible of the workout sequence in the allotted time.  Count your rounds and reps as you go, or have someone count for you.


June 8-15:

#6 - For time: 100 yard Burpee Broad Jump

#7 - Max Jumping Air Squats in 3 minutes (total reps)

#8 - For time: Shuttle run of 5-10-15-20-25 (yards) - see note

#9 - For time: 100 sit ups, but stop for 5 push ups, EMOM (every minute on the minute)

#10 - “Mzee” - 15 minute AMRAP of:

21 mountain climbers
35 alternating lunges
82 bicycle kicks
In honor of TCM’s first Program Director, Leonard “Mzee” Tate.  The address of TCM is 21 Bell Street. There are 35 beds in the program, which was founded in 1982.

Workouts

 “Mzee” - 15 minute AMRAP of:

  • 21 Mountain Climbers
  • 35 Alternating Lunges
  • 82 Bicycle Kicks

1 Round = 138 REPS

1 Mile Run.

100 sit ups for time with one caveat: Every Minute On the Minute (EMOM) you must turn over a complete 5 push ups.

10 min AMRAP*: 5-10-15 of Push ups, Sit ups, Air Squats

*AMRAP - accumulate As Many Reps As Possible of the workout sequence in the allotted time.

Score is TOTAL REPS. 1 Round = 30 reps.

Example: time expires as you finish your 6th sit up, so you've completed 11 reps in the current round (5 pu's + 6 su's = 11). Next you look at your rounds completed tally; you completed 5 rounds. Thus, your score is 5 rounds + 11 reps for a total of 161 reps.

This is a test of both speed, power and endurance. Burpee broad jump 100 yards for time.

Do as many Burpees as you can in 3 minutes.

Hold an Elbow Plank as long as you can.

In 3 minutes, complete as many Jumping Air Squats as possible.

Shuttle sprint run of 5-10-15-20-25 yards. This event will test your speed and agility in a manner similar to the 40-yd dash and 20-yd (5-10-5) shuttle.

Standing with your feet side-by-side, jump forward as far as you possibly can while remaining on your feet.  Falling back/forward or hand touching the ground disqualifies an attempt.
