About This Competition
Stage 3: Semifinals – Verified Competitive Testing
Semifinals is the advanced stage of the WWA season. Only about 0.4% of athletes reach this point.
This stage introduces the first version of a competitive, verification-focused environment:
• Live event or officially verified online format
• Trained judges (in future seasons)
• Standardized floor plans and workout layouts
• Defined movement standards with mandatory enforcement
• 9 total workouts including:
– 3 standardized record events
– 6 varied multi-skill tests
• Published scorecards, time windows, and clear submission rules
Semifinals is where the competitive field starts to formalize.
Athletes must demonstrate accuracy, execution, and consistency under pressure.
2026: Semifinals in the Honesty Jar Season
Because 2026 is the Honesty Jar Season, Semifinals will operate as a test run, not a fully regulated competitive stage.
For 2026 only:
• Semifinals will be run online
• No mandatory video submission
• No certified judges required
• No equipment standardization beyond basic safety guidelines
• No environmental or layout enforcement
• No scaled divisions at this stage — all athletes perform the same workouts
• Advancement to Finals will not be restricted by performance cut lines
Athletes are expected to follow the movement standards as written and complete the workouts honestly, but Year 1 prioritizes participation, system testing, and data collection over enforcement.
Long-Term Semifinals Goal
Beginning in future seasons, Semifinals become a fully standardized competitive stage.
The long-term structure includes:
• Mandatory live Semifinal events (or sanctioned live-format qualifiers)
• Certified judging staff
• Required video review for any online alternates
• Fully standardized floor plans, equipment, and workout layout
• Strict movement enforcement with penalties
• Defined cut lines for Finals qualification
• Mandatory anti-doping testing for drug-free divisions
• Record-event verification protocols built into the stage
Semifinals is designed to become the professional qualification filter, ensuring legitimacy and fairness before athletes reach the Finals.
