About This Competition



CrossFit BC is excited to be hosting the third annual CrossFit BC Winter Challenge on January 18, 2020!

This inclusive competition will be a fun day of CrossFit for all levels of athlete who have completed their CrossFit Foundations at a registered affiliate and have at least 3 months experience.

Teams of 2 (Two Guys or Two Girls) will compete for the top spot on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at our West Vancouver gym.

Come and join us for some fun workouts and expect to have a great time.

Please arrive on time for the competition.

Two separate scored events 
Athletes can start on the rower and adjust damper as needed
Athletes and judges do not touch the Erg monitor after WOD starts, if athlete resets rower, unfortunate, the Cal’s on the monitor at the end of the WOD is their score
While one athlete is rowing, the other can be accumulating Bar Facing Burpees, to be performed facing a paralette. 
Chest and Thighs must touch the ground facing the paralette directly, a two foot jump over the parallette is required for rep to count
Athletes MUST switch every 2:00

Total score is weights added together (225 x 4 + 200 x 6 = 425 Score)
If athlete A completes 225lbs for 4 Reps, athlete B must do 6 Reps at whatever weight they choose
On the athletes first rep, the hang starts at full extension of hips and knees, shoulders behind the bar. 
Hang must not go below knee.
Power Clean, Split or Squat are all accepted. 
Collars must be on bar for lift to count

50 Power Snatches (55/75)
40 Toes-To-Bar
30 Box Jump Overs (20”)
40 Overhead Squats (65/95)
30 Pull-Ups
20 Box Jump Overs (24”)
30 Squat Snatches (95/135)
20 Bar Muscle-Ups
10 Box Jump Overs (30”)


(Notes)

*Athletes divide the work any way they like with only one working at a time.
*Finish one exercise before moving to the next in order
*Power Snatches may be Regular or Split, but must finish by standing at full extension with feet side-by-side.
*Athletes can Squat Snatch their first Overhead Squat
*Athletes must load their own bars and ensure collars are used
*Score is time to complete the Wod or 14 minutes + 1 second for every rep not completed

WOD 4  - 12 Rounds for Time (11 Minute Time Cap)

Rounds 0-4
1 Rope Climb
7 Barbell Strict Press (55/75)

Rounds 5-8
2 Rope Climbs
7 Handstand Push-ups

Rounds 9-12
1 Legless Rope Climb
7 Strict Handstand Push-ups 


*This Wod is relay style. Athlete A does a round, Athlete B does a round.
*While one athlete is completing a round, the other is standing behind the Red-line at the other end of the lane holding a 10lbs plate with a Pinch Grip
*The round is completed once the plate has been taken from the other teammate
*Score is time to complete the Wod or 9 minutes + 1 second for every rep not completed
*Athletes climbing the rope must make clear contact with the Red tape, and control their descent
*Scale for Rope Climb is 5 PullUps 

Penalty:
*The plate must be held with a Pinch-grip and not touch the ground or the team gets a “NO REP” on the round.
