YEAR 5 OF F4F TO SUPPORT THE WEEKLY FIGHT

4 HERO INSPIRED WORKOUTS WILL CHALLENGE YOUR
FITNESS, GRIT, DETERMINATION AND COMMITMENT TO TEAMWORK.

Fight for Freedom is a team competition featuring 2 males and 2 females on 11/2/24.

This competition serves to benefit The Weekly Fight in funding scholarships and resources for families combating the fall-out of Post-Traumatic Stress.  Thanks to your support over the last 4 years we have collectively raised over $100,000!

The goal this year is to raise $30,000.  The 5th "fundraising WOD" will be scored on the event leaderboard and will contibute to 8% of each team's score.

DIVISIONS:   The competition will feature three divisions (Scaled, Intermediate and Rx) and will consist of 4 workouts plus a team fundraising score.  See below for more details.  We will honor division changes once all workouts are released, so don't stress.

FUNDRAISING:

https://givebutter.com/FUNDB3

Team Fundraising:  each team will create a team fundraising page.  Instructions are included with registration, but each team must create a fundraising team on our Give Butter page - please ensure that your fundraising team name matches your competition team name.  The earlier you register your team the earlier you can begin fundraising and get a headstart on the competition!

 # of Successful Passes

1 way from line to line is a pass.

Our floater is a sled workout!   Each team will have 5 minutes to work, the goal is to accumulate the most weight cumulatively back and forth as a team.   The score is total weight, not the heaviest single pass.

At 3,2,1 go the team can load as much (or as little) weight as they’d like onto the sled.  1 athlete will then push it approximately 25 yards across the line.  Once it crosses the line that is a successful pass and the total weight is added to your team score.  The sled then must be turned around and pushed back to the start which counts as a successful pass as well, with the weight being added to your score again.

Each athlete must push the sled for one successful pass in order for the team to obtain a valid score.  If any athlete fails to do 1 successful pass, the team score is zero.

Plates will be available at the starting line position (only on 1 side of the station), plates can be added at any time while at the starting line side, however plates cannot be taken off once loaded.

Once an athlete starts their pass they cannot switch off.  If they get stuck the workout is over.

Once you get from one side to the other you can switch athletes (you do not need to return back).  Switch however many times you’d like.

The entire team can assist in turning the sled around once it has passed the line.  The entire team can also assist in adding plates at any time.

On a 10 minute running clock, complete as many rounds and reps as possible, synchronized. All movements must be synchronized at the “top" to be a good rep. All 4 athletes are working, performing the same movements together. 1 DB per athlete, 4 DB per team.

For the DB burpee, athletes will complete a burpee with chest/hips/thighs to the ground, they will then step (or jump) up with their DB in 1 arm with full extension of the knees and hips to stand tall at the top to finish the rep. With all athletes standing tall they can each drop down to the floor at their own pace/speed. Synchro only happens at the top, alternating arms with each DB burpee.
After 10 burpees the team will perform 10 goblet squats. Synchro at the top of each squat. Holding the DB in the goblet position only.

Then 10 alternating DB snatches. Again, synchro happens at the TOP. Each athlete standing tall with full extension together will be a good rep. You may stand tall at lock out waiting for your teammates.
