About This Competition

BRIDGETOWN THROWDOWN 2023, 2-DAY CROSSFIT COMPETITION!

We are back in 2023 with an even bigger competition. We will be throwing a Two-Day CrossFit Competition this year. Thats right, TWO FULL DAYS OF COMPETITION. Get ready for an action packed weekend come August! Register today and start training to throw down for that top spot!

SCHEDULE

  • Friday, August 11 | Athlete Check-in 4pm-7pm at La Puente CrossFit
  • Saturday, August 12 | Day 1 of Competition 8am-4:30pm 
  • Sunday, August 13 | Day 2 of Competition 8am-3pm

Daily Admission: $15 (Ticket booth opens at 7am daily)
Parking: $10 Cash Only

FORMAT

Two-day Individual CrossFit Competition

PRICING

  • Tier 1 (January 23-February 19) $299 + processing Fees
  • Tier 2 (February 20-August 12) $339 + processing Fees

Every Registration includes: (1) T-shirt*, (1) Athlete Name Plate*, (1) Athlete Swag Bag, (2) Full days of competition + more to come!

*Last day to register and receive a t-shirt and athlete banner is July 1, 2023.

DIVISION STANDARDS

  • RX Division: You consistently do your Box programming at the RX level without scaling or modifying. 
  • Intermediate/Masters Division: You do most workouts at the RX level but need to modify due to certain gymnastics movements and/or due to barbell/DB/KB weight.
  • Scaled Division: You need to modify most movements, movements will be at the level with the CrossFit Open Scaled standards.
  • Teen Division: Same weights as the Beginner Division, but will have a slightly higher gymnastic standard (ie. pull ups, double unders)

REFUND POLICY

PLEASE READ OUR NO-QUESTIONS-ASKED REFUND POLICY. BY REGISTERING, ATHLETES ARE KNOWINGLY AGREEING TO THIS REFUND POLICY.

  • Before March 1st: 75% Refund
  • Before June 1st: 50% Refund
  • After June 1st: No Refunds

  • Insurance (that refunds at 100% through a third-party company) is available at check-out which covers injuries, work issues, deaths in the family, etc up to the date of the competition. You will need to file a claim through the Insurance in order to receive refund.

  • We will allow athlete transfers (must be in same division) up until July 1,2023, after this date no transfers will be accepted.

WOD Description and Flow:

This event is for time on a 9 min clock. 

The workout begins with the athlete at the start/end line.

After the “Go Signal” the athlete will head towards the platform to begin 10 Clean and Jerks, followed by 50 Drag Rope Double Unders. They will continue on with the sequence 8 Clean and Jerks followed by 50 Drag Rope Double Unders until the very end with 2 Clean and Jerks, 50 Drag Rope Double Unders. After their last double under, the athlete must run past the finish line to receive a timed score.



Scoring:

Time or Reps completed at the 9 Minute Mark.

If the athlete completes all of the reps under the time cap, their score will be the total time taken to complete the test. If the athlete reaches the time cap before completing all of the reps, their score will be the total number of reps completed.

WOD Description and Flow:

This event is for time on a 15 min clock. 


The workout begins with the athlete at the start/end line. 


After the “Go Signal” the athlete will head towards the platform to begin 10 sandbag cleans. Then, make their way over to the rig to complete 20 toes-to-bars. Immediately making their way back to the platform to complete 30 KB goblet squats followed by 40 American KB swings. Next, the athlete will complete 50 wall ball shots to the target fixed on the rig. After their last successful wall ball,  the athlete will begin to work their way back down in reps, 40 American KB swings, 30 KB goblet squats, 20 toes-to-bar and finally 10 sandbag cleans. The athlete must run back to the end line after their last sandbag clean to complete the workout and receive a timed score.


Scoring:

Time or Reps completed at the 15 Min Mark.

If the athlete completes all of the reps under the time cap, their score will be the total time taken to complete the test. If the athlete reaches the time cap before completing all of the reps, their score will be the total number of reps completed.
