Workouts
CrossFit Vibrant Powerlifting Meet
Workout Description: Back Squat
Time Cap: 10 Minutes
Goal: Establish your heaviest successful back squat in 3 attempts.
Standards:
The bar must be placed across the upper back (back rack position).
Each athlete is allowed 3 total attempts to hit their heaviest lift within the 10-minute window.
A successful squat must meet the following criteria:
Squat must go below parallel — meaning the crease of the hip must clearly pass below the top of the knee.
Athlete must stand fully tall to complete the lift.
Judges will give a “Good lift” or “No rep” call for each attempt.
Notes:
Athletes may choose their own weight jumps and can load their own bars.
Missed attempts still count toward your 3 total but you can try again if you fail as long as you have another attempt.
Lifters should communicate clearly with their judge before each attempt.
CrossFit Vibrant Powerlifting Meet
Workout Description: Bench Press
Time Cap: 10 Minutes
Goal: Establish your heaviest successful bench press in 3 attempts.
Standards:
The athlete must lie on the bench with feet in contact with the floor.
Bar starts fully locked out in the arms.
The bar must be lowered under control to the chest then athlete will press to full lockout.
Hips must stay in contact with the bench at all times.
Judges will give a “Good lift” or “No rep” after each attempt.
Notes:
Spotters may assist with liftoff but must release before the descent begins.
Athletes get 3 total attempts within the 10-minute window.
Missed attempts still count toward the total.
CrossFit Vibrant Powerlifting Meet
Workout Description: Deadlift
Time Cap: 10 Minutes
Goal: Establish your heaviest successful deadlift in 3 attempts.
Standards:
The bar starts on the floor and must be lifted in one smooth motion to full lockout.
A successful lift includes:
Full hip and knee extension
Shoulders behind the bar
No downward movement of the bar at any point
No bouncing, hitching, or resting the bar on the thighs.
The bar must be controlled down to the floor — no dropping from the top.
Judges will give a “Good lift” or “No rep” after each attempt.
Notes:
Straps and belts are allowed.
3 total attempts allowed within the 10-minute cap.
Missed attempts still count toward your total.
