About This Competition
Push/Pull
Join us in finding your 1RM Bench Press & Deadlift. All Levels Welcome: No matter your experience, this event is about growth and community. This event benefits Compete for a Cure.
WHY PARTICIPATE?
Support a cause & raise more than awareness this winter. We want to raise money for this amazing charity as it directly impacts the lives of breast cancer survivors through health and wellbeing initiatives.
WHAT IS PUSH/PULL?
This Push/Pull event will test athletes in their 1RM Bench Press and Deadlift with Wilks scores being ranked in a global Open and in person leaderboard.
FUNDRAISING FOR COMPETE FOR A CURE
- $5 per entry is donated directly to Compete for a Cure
- 100% of apparel proceeds are donated to Compete for a Cure

SUBMISSION DEADLINES:
Athletes have the option to submit scores between Jan 12-19th. We encourage participants to plan ahead so you don't miss the deadline.
Participants scores are calculated using the powerlifting Wilks coefficient. This requires submission of athletes bodyweight & their highest Bench Press & Deadlift load lifted in lbs into Competition Corner.
All athletes are encouraged to submit videos of their top lifts regardless of possible placement.
RESULTS
Results will be announced on Wednesday Jan 22nd.

Workouts
1 rep max Bench Press
*Load and bodyweight must be recorded in lbs (pounds)
*Wilks Coefficient will be used
In your video submission, you must say your name and date.
- Athlete takes the barbell from the rack and must be in a fully extended elbow position before beginning the rep.
- Athlete lowers the bar to touch their chest with a 1 second pause and then press the barbell overhead to reach full extension of elbows at the top.
- Athlete must maintain contact with their hips on the bench throughout the entire lift.
- Athlete must maintain contact with any part of their feet on the floor or plates throughout the entire lift.
- Athletes should wear fitted pants so we are able to assess hips remaining on the bench.

1 rep max Deadlift
*Load and bodyweight must be recorded in lbs (pounds)
*Wilks Coefficient will be used
In your video submission, you must say your name and date.
- Athlete begins standing behind the barbell with the bar on the ground.
- Athlete can only use a conventional or sumo stance. Mixed grip is allowed.
- Athlete must stand the barbell up to full extension of both hips and knees at the top without hitching or downward motion of the bar during your ascent.
- Athlete must then lower the bar with control to the floor (NO DROPPING FROM THE TOP OF THE LIFT).
- Athletes should wear fitted pants so we are able to assess the lockout requirements of the deadlift.
