THE SUMMER CLASSIC — 2026
About This Competition
3 Venues. 4 Workouts. 1 Unforgettable Team Competition.
Think you and your friends have what it takes to dominate the gym, the track, and the pool? The Summer Classic is back for its 5th year — and it’s bigger, better, and more fun than ever.
ABOUT THE EVENT
Our mission is to deliver one of the most fun, challenging, and well-run mid-sized competitions around.
With three unique venues—the gym, the track, and the pool—you’ll experience a competition that goes far beyond the standard format. From barbell work to conditioning to a swim event, the Summer Classic is designed to test all aspects of fitness in a high-energy, team-driven environment.
We pride ourselves on running an efficient, on-time event with clear communication, competitive workouts, and an atmosphere that athletes and spectators genuinely enjoy.
Let’s be honest ... no other local competition is giving you a swim workout.
If you’re ready to push your team, challenge your fitness, and have an unforgettable day with your community, the Summer Classic is where you want to be.
WHO THIS COMPETITION IS FOR
- Athletes looking for a fun, challenging, full-day experience that goes beyond a normal workout.
- Teams that love strategy and collaboration—not just individual performance.
- People who want to test themselves across multiple environments: gym, track, and pool.
- Anyone excited by team rotations—3–6 athletes per team, 3 competing per event.
- Competitors ready to push their limits in strength, conditioning, and even swimming.
WHO THIS COMPETITION IS NOT FOR
- Individuals looking for a short, single-event competition.
- Teams unwilling to strategically rotate and collaborate — every athlete counts.
- Anyone who prefers just “gym-only” workouts — this event includes track and swim elements.

90 Cal Row* (2 working—total cals split b/t 2 rowers)
Score: Total Time
Cap: 25 min
Workout Notes:
- There will be two rowers per lane / per team. Both rowers must get to HALF of the total amount (i.e. for Intermediate = BOTH rowers must get to 60 cals. Cannot be split any other way between rowers). Athletes can switch however / no minimum athlete requirement on the rowers. While the 2 athletes are rowing, the 3 athlete is resting.
- For the sled push, there will be a different weight for males and females.
- Athlete 1 will complete the first 30yd. Then Athlete 2 will complete the next 30yd, and so forth. No other working athletes can help. If a co-ed team is competing in this event, the men will go first. When the women need to push the sled, they will strip weight and complete their 30yd segment. While 1 athlete is working, the other 2 athletes will be rest / walking with the sled.
- After all 3 sled push segments are complete, teams will complete the run + bleacher combo. More details to come about this specific combo. All 3 athletes will complete this portion of the workout.
*For every female participating on this event, you will subtract 15 cals per female / per rower. Example: for an RX team with 1 female & 2 males, they will do 75 cals on Rower 1 and 60 cals on Rower 2. For an Intermediate team with 2 females and 1 male, they will do 45 cals on both Rowers 1 & 2.

- Round 1 = Athlete A & B
- Round 2 = Athlete A & C
- Round 3 = Athlete B & C
- Round 4 = Athlete A & B
- Round 5 = Athlete A & C
- Round 6 = Athlete B & C
- The 3rd, non-working athlete must rest the entire round. He/she cannot help out an athlete during a round they are not assigned to.
- There is NO minimum athlete rotation for the Max Synchro BBGO. Athletes can switch however they want. The athletes on the box CANNOT work until the 3rd athlete is completely hanging from the pull-up rig / feet are off the ground.
