About This Competition

FolkFit would like to welcome you to our first public competition, FolkFest Throwdown

The competition is for Same-Sex Pairs and will cover abilities for Intermediate and Scaled.

There are no qualifiers for the competition and there are a limited amount of places for teams.

Scaled: 32 teams, 8 male & 8 female

Intermediate: 32 teams, 16 male & 16 female

The Movement Standards for the event are:

Scaled: This will be accessible to everyone! If you're brand new or just started out and are looking for your first taste of competition, this will be perfect for you. 

Intermediate: If you've been doing this for a while and are competent with a few gymnastic movements but struggle with a heavy barbell and complex gymnastic movements. You should be able to do T2B, Pull-Ups, HSPU (with ab-mat) Cycle 50/35kg Barbell, C+J 85/55kg and Snatch 50/35kg.

We will be releasing the workouts in the weeks leading up to the competition.

10 Rounds:

12 Deadlifts @ 60/40

9 Hang Power Cleans @ 60/40

6 Shoulder To Overhead @ 60/40

 

*Every 2:00 not including 0:00 the team must perform 12 pull ups.

 

SCALED: 

In a 14 Minute Window

 

10 Rounds:

12 Deadlifts @ 40/30

9 Hang Power Cleans @40/30

6 Shoulder To Overhead @40/30

 

*Every 2:00 not including 0:00 the team must perform 12 ring rows.

ALL DIVISONS: 

8 Barbells increasing in load, each pair will have 1 minute for both of you to hit a lift, with lifts worth the following points:

Deadlift = 1 Point Clean = 2 Points Clean & Jerk = 3 Points Snatch = 4 Points 1:00 Rest Between Bars

Rest 1:00 between each time

 

INTERMEDIATE: 

2:00 Work: 1:00 Rest x 4

**If the 80 thrusters are not completed by the last round, the amount of reps left will be added to your score. 1 rep - 1 second.
