About This Competition

BTX Crossfit and STX Barbell have come together to bring you a fun challenging event for ALL skill levels in functional fitness!!! 

 

This is a team competition for:

Same sex teams M/M and F/F

Rx Intermediate and Scaled 

This is also an individual comp for:

Kids and Teens 

 

All standards and divisions will be posted by March 1, 2021 at midnight. Registrations also opens on that date and time!

Workouts

For Calories

With a 5 min running clock, 

Partner 1 Holds Plate overhead while Partner 2 is on the Ski Erg for max calories. 

Partners may switch as needed. Partner on the Ski Erg may only begin to accumulate calories once teammate shows control of plate overhead in a locked out position. Both hands must stay holding the plate overhead. No "one arm" holding.

Sign up for Floater WOD is at the checkin table in the morning the day of event. First come first serve on time slots

RX M/M and INTERMEDIATE M/M will hold 45# plate

RX F/F and INTERMEDIATE F/F will hold 35# plate

Scaled M/M will hold 35# plate

Scaled F/F will hold 25# plate

El Tiron

 

Floater WOD will be done in a sign up fashion. 

 

1 Chest to Bar pullup=4 points

1 Toe to Bar =3 points

1 chin over bar pullup= 2 points

1 hanging knee raise to 90 degrees or above=1 point

Coaches and parents please make sure to have your athletes perform each movement to the best of their ability to avoid no reps from our judges! 

 

Clusters are a squat clean thruster, each rep begins with the bar/plates on the bar touching the floor and each rep ends when the bar is overhead with the arms, hips and knees in a locked out position. 

Athletes must get the go ahead from the judge before beginning the next movement.

 

If in the event of the strength event having a tied load we will use the time the clusters were completed as a tie breaker for that Strength workout. 

WOD 2 Chiquitos pero Picosos

 

10 min to find an UNBROKEN REP MAX of:

 

5 Deadlifts

3 Front Squats

1 Jerk

 

They may not drop the bar at all in the middle of the complex.  

At the completion of the 5th deadlift, the may either touch and go power clean to get to the front rack position or hang clean. They may also touch and go SQUAT clean and it will count as the 1st front squat. 

The jerk may be a push jerk,  power jerk, split jerk or squat jerk. 

WOD 3 Oso Loco (Crazy Bear)

 

For Time with at 7 min cap

Snatches 65/55 Teen, 45/35 PreTeen

**50 Foot bear crawl after round.

 

Perform 12 cals on bike, 12 snatches (any how) then a 50 foot bear crawl; 9,9, 50 foot bear crawl; 6,6,  50 foot bear crawl. 

 

Power Snatches, Squat Snatches, and muscle Snatches are all allowed as long as the arms, hips and knees are all locked out at the end of each rep and begin each rep by touch the floor with bar.

You must clip the bar each time.

Each Squat movement must be at parallel or below.

All complexes must show control on the last rep of the complex and wait for the judges signal to put the bar down

9 min Amrap for Distance

 

50 cal bike (share reps)

50 TTB (partner hang)

50 alt Db Snatches (share reps) 50/35

50 double unders each, together

With remaining time, Max Effort HS Walk 

(Every 5 Feet=1 rep; Anyone goes, 1 partner working at a time)

 

Some Rules:

Each set of 50 reps must be completed before moving on to the next set of 50. Last set of 50 reps (jumprope must be completed by both partners before being the Amrap for distance.

On the amrap for distance, either partner can go, in 5 foot increments. A partner can go for as many feet as desired or each partner can alternate each 5 feet. Its completely up to the team!! As long as one partner completes at least 5 feet, then your teammate may complete the entire amrap if wanted.
