Sweat For Siena
As most of you know, Ben and I sadly lost our Daughter Siena at 23 weeks pregnant. While we are still coming to terms with this loss, the dust is starting to settle and both of us want to do something in memory of our little girl.
We were incredibly well looked after and supported by all the NHS staff and midwife team at Gloucester Women’s Centre at the GRH. Little do people know, that much of the care facilities for still birth / late miscarriage parents are entirely dependant on donations - this includes the furniture, the private suites and the tea bags! Without these facilities I would have had no choice but to give birth to Siena on the maternity ward with all the mothers who were fortunate enough to take their babies home.
We all know what the Fortitude community means to us, so we can’t think of a better medium to help give something back.
To this end, Josh and the other coaches at Fortitude gym are kindly helping sort a charity fundraiser, the proceeds from which will go to Gloucester Women’s Centre in memory of our Angel Girl Siena.
The event is a Same Sex pairs Throwdown with 3 workouts throughout the day. It will be inclusive to all and we have only 36 team spots availible!
We are planning some vendors, DJ, photographer, videopgrapher etc to capture this special day!

Workouts
In a 10 minute window
One partner completes a 3RM Deadlift*
One partner completes a 3RM Shoulder To Over Head**
*Deadlift is not touch and go but hand must stay on the bar throughout
**Any form of Shoulder to Overhead movement is permitted (Strict press, push press, Jerk)

Both partners working simultaneously, both must remain on Part A+B for full 2 minute windows and can swap between intervals however they like.
