Description: Come throw down in the second annual Bellefonte Brawl to benefit More Than Fitness, an organization founded in 2018 to address mental health issues in young people through mindfulness and fitness.
Partners will compete in 5 scored events over the course of the day on our campus at More Than Fitness. This year's competition will offer three divisions: RX. Scaled, and Masters.

PLEASE NOTE: There will be no refunds for this event. If the weather creates unfavorable conditions, the event may be moved to Sunday, September 10th at the organizers discretion. Please plan accordingly.
Masters division requires that both athletes are at least 40 years of age on the day of the event.

Workouts
CANNON BALL!

Notes:
- At go, partner 1 will complete a 50 yard swim. When complete, the swimmer will exit the pool and complete the dball complex.
- Partner 2 may start their swim once partner 1 has completed the dball complex.
- 1 round is counted after both partners complet the swim and dball complex
- The time ends at completion of last squat.
Standards:
- Swimmers MAY NOT WALK on the pool floor to advance. They may stop and rest but an attempt at swimming must be made to advance forward.
- Typicall standards for deadlift apply. Athletes must hold ball with straight arms and bring ball to the hips, with knees and hips extended/in line with the shoulders.
- The ground to shoulder must clearly show the ball supported by the shoulder at the top of the rep.
- Squats can be performed with the ball at the shoulders on in a bear hug, as long as the hip crease is at or below the knee, the squat will count.
EVENT FOUR: SPEED BUMP

Notes:
- On go, partner 1 will complete 15 clusters at designated weight.
- Once completed, partner 1 will complete 6 shuttle runs (up and back) using the BBJO as the method of turning around.
- Once partner 1 completes 6 runs, partner 2 can beging their 15 clusters/6 shuttle runs
- Once partner 2 completes their runs, partner 1 can mobe to 10 clusters at the heavier weight.
- Partners can load the bar while the other partner is working. They do not have to wait until they are in their working time.
- The time will be recorded when partner 2 finishes their last shuttle run
- There is a 20 minute timecap
Standards:
- A cluster starts with the barbell on the ground. The athlete will then clean the bar into the front rack posiiton and perform a thruster (full squat into overhead press).
- The bar resets at the ground after each repetions
- Athletes are permited to squat clean into the thruster.
- Athlets should not move their feet during the thruster.
- The BBJO must be performed safely, with the athlete only jumping onto the box/from the box when on the black mats. Any attempt to leap dangerously to or from the box will be credited as a no rep.
- Scaled athletes may step over the box.
EVENT ONE: GUTS
ECHO CALS FOR TIME
WHILE PARTNER BEAR HUGS DBALL
Notes:
- Athletes start with partner 1 standing at the Dball and partner 2 on the bike
- At go, partner 1 will lift the Dball. Partner 2 cannot start moving the bike until the bear hug is established.
- Judges will signal the athlete on the bike when they are permitted to go and when they must stop.
- Once the bearhug is lost, partner 2 must stop moving the echo bike.
- Athletes may switch positions as they prefer and are not required to switch every time the ball is on the ground.
- Final score is the calorie count at 6 minutes. Do not account for “roll over” calories in the score after 6 minutes. Tie break is time to 36 calories
Standards:
- A bear hug is defined as a hold of the ball against the front of the torso (at or above the hips and below the shoulders) without aid of the lap. The athlete should remain standing straight up with shoulders, hips, and knees aligned.
- If the athlete leans forward or back in an effort to use their body to support the ball, they must drop the ball and reestablish the hold from the ground.
- Athletes are not required to switch every time the ball is dropped, but they may not start on the bike unless the ball is established in a proper hold.

Notes:
- To start, athletes will complete all repetitions of the jump rope before moving into the AMRAP portion. They will not return to the jump rope once completed.
- Gymnastic reps can be broken up any way between the athletes, there are no requirements on how that is done.
- If the athletes complete the set of DB OHP with time remaining, they will start back at the first gymnatic movement and continue until time is up.
- The last full rep wil be credited at time. Reps initiate before time cutoff can be finished.
Standards:
- RX athletes must complete at LEAST 1 rep. Scaled athletes will complete jump rope reps in 4 sets of 75, switching each set.
- All synchro reps are credited at the top of the rep. Athletes must meet at the top. For deadlifts, at least one part of each dumbell much touch the floor on each rep. Hang cleans must be supported at the shoulder, and OHP must be locked out together and must come to a front rack at the bottom.
- Gymnastic movements follow typical standards. Athletes can divide reps however they want.
- Burpee chest to bar pulll ups must have a burpee before each C2B. The burpee and chest to bar do not need to be cleanly linked. As long a burpee is done before every C2B by the working athlete, then the rep is counted.
EVENT TWO: GLORY
Max Snatch
Notes:
- Starting at 6:00 of event one, event two begins and goes to 12:00
- Athletes have six minutes to each establish a heavy snatch
- The score is the combined weight of each athlete's heaviest snatch.
- Athletes may help each other load the bar.
- The weight must be confirmed by the judge before the lift is initiated.
Lifts initiated before 12:00 can count towards score. - Tie break: score from event 1
Standards:
- A snatch starts with the barbell on the ground. The athlete moves the barbell to a supported overhead position without pausing at the shoulder. The athlete finishes the movement by standing up and supporting weight overhead.
- The athlete must hold the top of the snatch until the judge signals that the snatch is complete.
- The athlete should NOT initiate the lift until the weight is confirmed with the judge.
- The lifting athlete must stay on the mats and control the lift.
