About This Competition
On Remembrance Sunday, November 10th, 2019, 0930hrs at Battersea Park, Millenium Arena we will be calling on our 400+ strong community to come together for charity and to take part in an EPIC test of fitness and resilience. The test will be the HERO workout MURPH.
Your ticket purchase (£25 per competitor), for what we have called the 'Murph Games', will be helping raise money for Help for Heroes and Breast Cancer Care.

This truly will be a spectacular competition that you won't want to miss, whether you are a competitor, volunteer, OR spectator.
CATEGORIES
There are several categories available to enter on the day.
** Rx Individual Murph with Weighted Ruck (Male & Female) total of 50 spaces 25 for Males & 25 for Females.
** Rx Partner Sprint Murph with Weighted Ruck (MM or FF teams) total of 30 spaces
** Intermediate Partner Sprint Murph with Weighted Ruck on the run & squats only (MM or FF teams) total of 30 spaces.
Movement standards for intermediate include partner assisted pull-ups & push-ups on knees.
We need lots of Event Staff too! So if you are keen to help out on the day, please make yourself known by signing up.
We will be putting on a pretty nice care package for all volunteers.

MURPH INDIVIDUAL Rx
1-mile run
100 Pull-Ups

Males wear a 20lb GO RUCK rucksack
Females wear a 14lbs GO RUCK rucksack
MURPH PARTER Intermediate
The below workout is a partner & intermediate version of Murph.
Teams of two, alternate ~400m runs, with 1x GO RUCK rucksack between 2, using it as a 'baton', until they accumulate 1-mile.
With one person working at a time, the subsequent body of repetitions (pull-ups, push-ups & squats) can be divided between the pair - however the team sees fit.
The working athlete must be wearing the rucksack to complete the running that bookends the workout & the squats ONLY. For the pull-ups and the push-ups, there is no rucksack being worn.
It can be taken off, passed and worn as many times as is necessary between the pair during the squats.
To finish the workout the teams of two once again alternate ~400m runs, with 1x GO RUCK rucksack between 2, using it as a 'baton', until they accumulate 1-mile.

MURPH PARTER Rx
