About This Competition
Get ready for the South Coast's leading functional fitness events for entrants of all levels.
Our next event is on Saturday 12 November 2022 at the indoor sports arena, Mountbatten Centre , Portsmouth, PO2 9QA.
Whether you're a seasoned athlete or just starting your fitness journey, our pairs competitions are designed to help you test your limits and beyond.
Entrants will endure up to 60 minutes of workouts combining core strength and fitness fundamentals with a whole lot of grit, sweat and determination.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Q: What movements will the competition involve?
All the fundamental strength movements (squat, hinge, lunge, press, pull and carry) plus cardio elements such as running, rowing, ski erg and concept2 bike will be included. Our event will NOT include technical weightlifting movements (snatch, clean + jerk) or gymnastics movements.
Q: Are you including Open and Masters categories?
Yes we are. The Masters category is for pairs aged 40+. The Open category is for all other entrants.
Q: Is there an Early Bird promotion?
Yes, entrants signing up before 19 Sep 2022 receive 25% off!
Q: Where is the event held?
We will be using the indoor arena at Mountbatten Centre in Portsmouth.
Q: Are there changing facilities provided?
Yes, there will be changing room ans showers provided
Q: When will the workouts be released?
The format and workouts will be announced before the event.
Q: Can I substitute a team member?
Substitutes can be requested by emailing wearedoubleimpact@gmail.com with details.
Q: What is your refund policy?
We have a no refunds policy. However, if this event is unable to go ahead (eg. adverse weather etc) we will transfer your space to our next available competition.

Workouts
15min AMRAP
20/15 cal C2 Bike
15 Wall balls 10/9ft 9/6kg Open, 6/4kg masters
10 Burpee box step overs
Athlete 1 works on the cals, while athlete 2 wall balls and burpees. And only switch when they finish their reps.
15min AMRAP
15/12 cal row open 12/10 cal masters
12 KB swings 28/24 Open, 24/16 masters
5-10-15m shuttle run
Athlete 1 performs the above movements, while athlete 2 holds odd objects.
During the row, the resting athlete will perform a farmers hold 2x32/24kg open, 24/16kg.
During the swings and shuttle run, the resting athlete will hold the slush ball. Reps will only count while the correct object is being held.

Ski Cals
DB hang clean and press 2x15/12 Men’s and Ladies open and mixed pairs. 12/10 Men’s Masters
