About This Competition

The Monster Clash at United Athletic Conditiong is Cache Valley's Premire local fitness throwdown. We will be holding this as a two day competition starting Friday evening October 8th and Saturday October 9th. Competition will begin under the lights at Green Canyon High's football field! Saturday's workouts will be back in the gym at United.

This Competion will have RX and Scaled Divisions.

Teams will be two person, one male and one female.

There will not be refunds avaliable for this throwdown, however if you are unavaliable to make it and want to sell your spot to another team, that is 100% fine with us. 

Swapping out members on your team up until the time of check in is allowed as well. 

RX STANDARDS -

Bar Muscle Ups for at least 1 partner.

Handstand Walks for at least one partner

Clean Ladder

Rx and Scaled will Compete together on the same bar. 

*Score is both partners weight combine.

*:30 second Window for each athlete to lift. Can attempt as many times as you need inside the :30 second window

*Cleans can be Power or Squat

Rx Barbell 95/65

Scaled Barbell 65/45

The female partner will complete Max reps of thrusters. The female will go until Either 2 min is up OR until she drops the barbell. At the 2 Min mark, the Male will begin with 2 Min of max reps Thrusters. Like the Female, the male will go until either the 2 Min time cap OR until he drops the barbell. At the 5 Min mark the Famles will be lined up and ready to start a 800M Relay. The female will run the first 400M and then tag in their Male partner to run the second 400M. 

This is EVENT 2 & 3. you will be scored for total combine reps of Thrusters AND your total 800M relay time. 

Standards on the thruster - The Hip crease must pass below the knees. A full squat clean into the thruster is allowed. The barbell mut come to full lockout over head with the hips knees and arms fully extended for the rep to count. 

IF the athlete gets a no rep, they can contiune to keep doing thrusters and counting them towards their total just the one no rep will not be counted.

THE ONLY place the athlete will be allowed to "REST" or stop their motion of unbroken thrusters is with the barbell overhead in the full locked out position. once the barbell begins to be lowered down to the front rack position the athlete must begin to decend into the squat portion of the thruster. NO resting in the front rack or in the bottom of the squat. if the athlete does stop and rest the judge may determine that it was a break and the athlete will be done.

 

 

At the 5 Min mark The Female Athlete will begin the 800M Relay running 400M AND Tagging her partner who will then finsih the 800M relay. 

Male Athlete will start with "Easy Ingrid"

With a 6 Min Time Cap

3 Bar Over Burpees

* While the Male is completing "Easy Ingrid" the Female will be Biking 3 Min for Max Calories

* At the 7 Min Mark the Female will begin Easy Ingrid and the Male will complete 3 Min Max Calories on the bike

* There will be two scores for this event. Combine times for ingrid and Total combine calories biked

"Over the edge"

The Female Athlete begins on the bike completing as many calories as possible in 3 Min while the Male Athlete is Completing "Easy Ingrid" at the 7 Min mark the Male Athlete will complete 3 Min of Max Calories on the Bike. Score will be Combined Total Calories on the Bike.
